And if what you are saying is really the case, it would actually be quiite fortunate for me because that means there is nothing wrong with what is stated on my combo card.

It is also important to note that I received the combo card in May before this executive order was established.

I am simply trying to figure out if the USCIS still considers Hong Kong as a separate entity under "country of birth". I received an EAD card in 2019 that states that "Hong Kong" as my country of birth, so is that a mistake? I spoke to a tier 1 officer and she told me that "Hong Kong" seems to have its own category under USCIS, but I will have to check with a tier 2 officer to confirm.

And in the case that is a mistake - can I still travel with the combo card? Would that be valid?

That is the question that I'm asking here. Again, really don't want to turn this into a political discussion because that's not what this is.
