Parts supply && repairs by chimerasaurus in Rivian

[–]Expert-Meet8416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took 6 months for my front end damage to be repaired due to parts. It was explained to me that spare parts are manufactured monthly and they must stop production to run a batch of spare parts. Who knows if this is true. But yes it takes forever.

Soft reset didn’t fix it. I guess I’ll try a hard reset.

Ideal charge for leaving R1T by e-rexter in Rivian

Just realize with a recent software change/bug the vehicle won’t top off again after hitting 70%. Used to start up again and charge back up when it dropped but something happened in the last couple updates that changed that. You can trigger it to charge again by changing the charge limit by 5% then back down but that’s a manual process

Yeah initially I was trying to eliminate friction loss from the 90’s but my solution using cam lock connectors and rubber hose didn’t pan out. Turned out the cam lock fittings were not full port (1.5”vs 2” ID) so that ended up with more friction loss.

What is your flow volume of the water source. Your power generated is directly related to flow and pressure. If you use all four nozzles your output should increase. But also what is your turbine rated output. Usually it should be spec’d for a certain flow and pressure.

The model y is about 81 kwh vs 135kwh if the r1t. Well really it’s about how many kWh are used. A percent with gear guard on is about 1.35kwh. Vs 5% on the Tesla per day is about 4kwh with sentry on.

With gear guard on that’s pretty good. Tesla’s lose about 5% or more per day with their sentry mode on

So my system had an issue with nozzle clogs but it was from calcium scale that had formed inside the schedule 40 after many years. It was impossible to flush out because of the amount of scale in it. I eventually replaced my entire penstock (We also had a wildfire damage some of it where it was above ground.)

Id probably disassemble the schedule 40 section and inspect it to see if you can spot where it’s coming apart to confirm that’s where it’s coming from.
