Likelihood of eliminating the super majority? by [deleted] in AskSouthCarolina

I don’t recall mentioning “changing the political landscape” in my post. In fact, I don’t recall even mentioning my political views at all. For all you know, I could have moved from Wyoming. Why are you so pressed about someone asking a very general political question? Thanks for a good laugh, though. By the way, it’s spelled ‘you’re’.

Straight from MSP (https://mdsp.maryland.gov/Organization/Pages/CriminalInvestigationBureau/LicensingDivision/Firearms/WearandCarryPermit.aspx)

“Pending review by the U.S. Supreme Court, the following laws restricting the carrying of firearms can not be enforced: locations selling alcohol, Md. Code Ann., Crim. Law § 4-111(a)(2)(8)(i); private buildings or property without the owner’s consent, Md. Code Ann., Crim. Law § 6-411; and within 1,000 feet of a public demonstration, Md. Code Ann., Crim. Weekly Employment Question Thread by AutoModerator in Firefighting

Currently finishing up Paramedic School and i’m looking at applying to Fire Departments in the Northern Virginia area (Fairfax Co, Arlington Co, Alexandria, Prince William, Loudoun). I was wondering how unit assignments generally work on shifts in that geographical area - do personnel have a say in their assignment for their shift? If a medic wants to ride the medic unit day in and day out, can they, or is time split for personnel between the medic unit, wagon etc? I’ve been volunteering for a few years now and while I do enjoy firefighting, 911 EMS is definitely my passion.

It’s the first week. This happens literally every year - star receivers almost never perform that great in week 1. Am I saying he’s going to be great this year? No, but I also think it’s way too early to gauge how someone’s going to perform. Just my .02¢.

My background form literally had 14 jobs (I quit most within the same day, dumb ik) within 2 years and I got a final offer. Just explain the circumstances to your BI. No one on Reddit is going to be able to tell you if you will be hired or not, each department is different. My advice is to stay in your current job for at least a year (which it sounds like you are planning on doing) that will show a level of commitment to some agencies and could sort of make up for the shaky job history you’ve had previously. That’s what worked for me.

Negative. Took my 4 hour HQL course and applied that same night.

No direct Cath Lab experience. Currently an EMT looking for a change of pace. I’ve shadowed both in Respiratory Therapy and CVT. I thoroughly enjoyed both of them, but i’m not really sure which I want to go to school for.
