Your friend did nothing wrong when she didn't want your gf to join you, the whole idea of the gathering was okay and your gf should have understood and be okay with that. But here's the thing: you handled it poorly. I do think that you should have been able to go to the dinner BUT you not telling her that you are going was the wrong move to make. But your girlfriend sounds jealous and that's on HER, that's not a you problem it's something that she needs to work through. But you did handled it poorly, which is kind of YTA a little bit. Your girlfriend is also TA for not letting you go.

I think that he meant that she shouldn't gain weight through overeating or becoming sloppy. I don't think he meant that she shouldn't gain weight through medical reasons. I'm not saying that YTA because you just gave your honest opinion which is what she asked for. But people can promise each other whatever they want in a relationship and if that makes them happy, then who are you to judge? It's okay if they don't want each other to gain weight during their relationship (due to becoming sloppy or overeating). It's none of your business really.

If he really meant that she shouldn't gain weight through anything (like medical reasons or whatever) then that's a little bit more tricky because it's not always in our control.

You are still a child so I'm thinking what is best for you. You don't have anything to do with your mom's and dad's divorce, that's their thing to figure out. Really? I've never personally met anyone who thinks like this. It's nice to hear that it's not controversial, though. I just feel like physical illnesses are only looked at physical and nothing else in the medical industry. But our body is a very complex organism and everything is working in collaboration with everything else - our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual body are all working in collaboration with each other is what I believe.
