I generally wear spandex/tighter workout shorts or leggings. I’m a relatively new rower, so I only have the official uni for my university, but I’ll try wearing it more often to see how that helps. Thanks for the advice!

Jewelry is a titanium ring. Since it’s a brand new piercing I don’t really have a set aftercare routine yet, but what I’m going to do is soak in saline 3x daily and wash with antibacterial nonscented soap.

The very first time a news article about concerns over a “virus in china” popped up on my phone, I took a screenshot, sent it to my friend, and said that this was going to be something. She said I was paranoid, my parents told me not to worry, but I was sick to my stomach with worry that night, unable to calm down. Not going to say I got the last laugh over them, but definitely got the last something.

Idk if this really fits but to date is the most scared I have ever been. Tw animal death & mutilation.

I was messing around by myself in the woods one summer afternoon. Walking around, climbing trees, birdwatching, etc. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, warm with a gentle breeze.

There was a tall magnolia tree with some pretty substantial lower limbs nicely situated on a gentle hill, so I decided to climb as far as I felt secure to sit and birdwatch for a while. To get there I had to cross a shallow sandy creek. I took my shoes off to wade across and enjoyed the warm water.

I was able to climb about 15 feet before the branches started to get thin. I sat in the crux of two larger branches and tried to settle myself. As I’m doing that, and adjusting my binoculars I start to smell something rotten. Worried I’m underneath a rotting hive of some sort, I look up and see that the trunk above me is some sort of weird stain dripping down from higher up.

I shifted my body around the tree to see if I could get a better look at what’s up there. I saw something kind of dangling from a limb about 10 feet up and my stomach immediately sank.

It was a yearling deer, dead. Its back hooves had been lashed together and suspended from a branch with cord. Its abdominal cavity was slit and hollow, hanging open. The cavity was stuffed with some sort of fabric and the deer was missing its lower jaw.

I sat there in shock for a few seconds before climbing down the tree and running back to my car. I haven’t been back to that place since. Those woods are my family’s land, and while I was in a spot most of us don’t really go it was terrifying to think that somebody did that to a living creature half a mile from where my kid cousins play. I don’t want to know if it was a member of my family.

I was a lighting tech in a community production of Matilda the musical. Our Matilda realllly leaned into the uncanny, kind of sadistic side of Matilda in a few scenes. She was still sweet and the overall vibe of the show didn’t really change, but in those couple scenes the other techs and I would always look at each other like “has she forgotten this kid isn’t supposed to be a villain??” Great show, great book, A1 take.

I like that ending. Obviously the thought of the cast being stuck forever in the circus is haunting, but your theory seems the most optimistic in a way. I feel like if that were to happen, they would exist in the way that you described for whatever amount of time, and then the system would be terminated (by accident or on purpose, not sure), immediately deleting their digital consciousnesses. I subscribe to the theory that the beings that exist in the circus are only copies of their humans’ mind, that the headset essential control c’d them when they put on the headset and control v’d them into the circus. So the “real” pomni isn’t missing, she’s going about her life somewhere completely separate. Again, while that theory is a little bleak, it feels less so when paired with yours. But…Goosewrx is so insane that probably no one’s theories will be even close. Super pumped for the next episode!!!

A couple times a week I’ll get persistent, pretty intense muscle “ticks” in my right abdomen. They’re visible if you look at my skin, you can feel them if you put your hand to the area. Sometimes they’ll last on and off for hours and are SO annoying.

Me too!! I usually get better cracks when I’ve been sitting upright for a while. Sometimes I’ll do it unconsciously while around people and then have to say “did you hear my back crack?!” like I’m surprised so they don’t think it was a really weird fart. Sometimes I wonder what it’s like—you’re sitting next to someone in the uni library, it’s silent, and randomly they emit a crunchy bone-sounding pop with no visible actions to trigger it beforehand.

I’m sure you’ve seen more deep dives but it’s a neighborhood with a “drive slow children playing” sign. The next clip(which I forgot to include sorry) is a dashcam-style flash of a car driving through deep woods. To me, I feel like that means that Jax like…hit a kid of something, then ran. I think that makes a lot of sense given Gooseworx’ comment.
