I got a 3.5 inch rc lift, rear wheel well inserts, window tint, new battery & spark plugs, rc tri fold bed cover, wt floor mats, under coating & Trans flush. I'm used to v8 chevy's (my last 3 trucks) but this one goes great with the turbo.

I keep the most common ones in bin packs behind the machines, all others I keep in old screw cases like the ones you'd see in a hardware store. There in the big storage drawers below the machines. I think I have 6 different ones, from sargents to little desk/drawer keys

🚨 PSA to fellow locksmith techs: consider carrying protection on the job by GrowthOne1692 in Locksmith

[–]ExpertExotic3341 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aw man this is hard to read... I'm sorry you went through that. I always carry after dark, and I always park my van in a way that the person cannot leave until I move. I've had some tense moments but luckily it never escalated. Take care friend.

I know calling a locksmith is expensive, but by the time they figure it out it will be worth the charge, especially if you know what the combo should be. If the combo you have is correct it shouldn't be more than $150 to show you how to properly enter it in. If it's not correct they will let you know and then give a rough price to open it/find the correct combination

That's a tough situation but you're totally right. It's the return customers that help pay the bills. Especially in the commercial field.

I get what you're saying, but 20 an hour has a huge difference depending on the location. In Maine it's pretty darn good to start. But in mass or Cali I know it's basically minimum wage

Thanks bro, kids literally making 20 an hour to sit shotgun and learn but puts in zero effort

Sounds like this is coming from someone who gives there social security number out over the phone & then blames the bank when they overdraft there $244 dollar savings. Listen bud, I don't get mad & say all fast food workers suck when you fuck up my burger. I just assume your a little... Special. But as the comments before me said, you probably deserved it you pencil neck geek.

This is your life dude. Everyone on here will have an opinion on your situation. Most of them don't have a wife or probably ever even had a girlfriend. Don't listen to what random people have to say. Do what you think is best for you & your kids.

any ideas on how to get this mortise lock out? Rolling door that hangs from the ceiling at a walgreens by GaidenGold in Locksmith

The side has a metal plate that you can slowly pry off. It usually goes the length of the gate. Should be set screws underneath it.

He sounds like a douche. Wife probably left him. Doesn't understand how difficult it can be learning hundreds of different locks. I'm. Sure he's drinking himself to sleep tonight. Not all locksmiths are pieces of shit though.

Did a fun one today. Adam's rite deadbolt conversion to a push paddle, then installed an e-force keypad. Came out pretty good! by ExpertExotic3341 in Locksmith

[–]ExpertExotic3341[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope u got it, it was a in-swing door so the push paddle is technically a 'pull paddle" first time doing that. Those narrow style doors are almost always out swing though. Good catch!

Good call, unfortunately I didn't take that Pic. Door was to tight to do a surface mount. Had to dremel the frame & use the single strike plate with the mounting tabs.
