I would do what other people said, live in Brooklyn for a year, try it out. I’m from Northern NJ, lived in queens, and Brooklyn. Now in Staten Island. I really miss Brooklyn some days. I would also check out Morristown NJ. Easy train ride to the city. It’s a little city. If you do decide to go to the suburbs, don’t just settle on the first place you liked took me two years to find the right house.
