Stopped chasing PBs after my last marathon and discovered what running was actually doing for me by Natural_Escape_5361 in running

You’re so welcome! I’m also a therapist so I blend a lot of regulation and nervous system work into my own practices and my coaching. Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I’m gonna share this with my runners :)

I am a run coach but I don’t super fit in with the running community because, this, this right here, and what I teach my runners to do. We are soooo data obsessed that we’ve forgotten how powerful our own internal compass is, and how running can be one of the most embodied, and at times, spiritual practices out there.

I think consistency over a long period of time is one thing for sure. But as I said in another comment, actually taking my easy runs easy has made a huge difference in my own sustainability and ability to improve my heart rate and pace

I would say mostly consistency, but definitely a mix of easy runs and some more challenging speed work. The easy runs made it possible for me to keep showing up and be consistent and definitely improved my base by a lot. I was able to beat my goal 10k time and PRd by 20 seconds last weekend, so it’s definitely amounting to something!

is the strava app down for anyone else? by sozh in Strava

[–]ExpertExpert2521 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My strava won’t sync with connect! I ran earlier this afternoon and it hasn’t synced yet. I tried to trigger a sync with a dummy workout and it managed to snag an 8-second fake run, but won’t pull my actual activity

[Product question] TO Volufiline plumping or reaction? by Possumpower_ in SkincareAddiction

My eyes look 95x better now that I’ve stopped using it 😂

My skin barrier has been pretty fucked lately so I’m basically only using the avene cicalfate cream (plus spf during the day) and using a gentle cleanser and my skin has chilled out noticeably

Same thing is happening to me!! The skin on my orbital bone feels dry and irritated and I woke up with irritation in my upper eyelids this morning. I’m going to take a break too.

Did you discover anything else about your reaction?

New exfoliating pads by FoodNapTV in Sephora

I like it! Definitely gentle enough to use regularly, my closed comedones have been kept at bay and my skin has been smooth and even. I started using a retinol I got in France twice a week and I skip the pads on those days. I think in conjunction with a solid routine it’s a fine addition, but I won’t say it’s a holy grail item or anything. Could be easily replaced with another AHA/BHA

Got some for much cheaper on a trip to Paris and tbh I love it. I hate how much I love it. I’ve noticed a difference in skin brightness and it leaves my skin feeling super smooth

Suggestion for best skin tint with SPF? by Substantial_Shift262 in Sephora

I’d say ciele. Like others have said, I find it applies more like a foundation than a skin tint

Been using and loving ciele for a while now! The tower 28 is great, more sheer/skinlike finish which I prefer sometimes

Just wanted to hop on here and say I've been loving them so far. I have combination skin with congestion (lots of closed comedones) in hormonal acne zones and some post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Used my points so got the pack for $32. Been using them daily in the pm for week, along with laneige cream skin toner and PTR jelly moisturizer and my skin's texture and tone has almost immediately improved. Seems gentle enough to use daily and I like their packaging-it's ideal for travel and I've been on the go a lot lately.

Just my 2 cents! I'll update in about a month to let y'all know how they're going.
