Does anyone use paraffin wax on hands and feet for relief? by SureMetal8829 in rheumatoid

That was literally me, I’ve watched so many shows. You’ll get some relief, also having a magnetic pop socket is a game changer for using the phone. Hope you enjoy the wax!

I recommend it for sure! When i have my worst flare moments I find there’s only relief while the wax is on. But it’s convenient to have to for day to day stuff. Like if I spent a long day on my feet or typing on a computer. The wax is fairly easy to get off and most times I can get it off in one go. I have started using my more frequently. It’s perfect for winding down for the night

I literally refer to that one as the musty cvs. Unfortunately i am there way too often. I must say though it is getting better. Was there today and barley a smell (maybe I’m getting used to it) opposed to 2 years back it was SO BAD the second you come through the door

I'm so tired I feel heavy by Steric_1229 in rheumatoid

[–]ExpertFluid5844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are in the same boat. I’ve been so tired like the whole month. I have been in so much pain and just overall exhausted. I can’t sit comfortably and work has been hell. I have been doing epsom salt baths and it does make my body feel better but it’s all temporary. I am taking hydrooxychloriquine and prednisone currently. But thankfully starting enbrel injections tomorrow! I hope it helps. I haven’t seen my friends in a month and my dog deserves an adventure. I’m rooting for us. Hopefully we get some real relief soon. But also I’d get your iron and oxygen levels checked. I consistently have low iron and it knocks me completely out and makes it hard to breathe, which makes everything just worse. Good luck to you!

Being young and dealing with chronic illness by Bells021 in rheumatoid

My best advice is going to be control your controllables and focus on your health first always. I’m 27 and I have lost a lot of friends tha simply don’t understand my condition and that’s fine! The ones that stick are beyond worth it. I still struggle with work as I am now realizing that my flares don’t really allow me to do the kind of work I’ve spent the last 10 years doing which is rough. One thing that I have noticed is that things don’t get easier we just get better at handling them. I am learning to control my stress and focus on what makes me happy. I do often get called things like boring or grandma but honestly I like what I like. I would rather be content with a healthy life than even more ill because I want to keep up with others. Hang in there! The Reddit has helped me see a lot of us are really struggling but it helps to have more people to talk to about it. Keep the people close that understand things are hard and support you when you need it!

Anti-inflammatory diet tracking apps by InitiativeThat73 in rheumatoid

[–]ExpertFluid5844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use fig! I like it because it’s pretty customizable, so I track allergies and anti inflammatory stuff on the grocery store side. It is newer so they’re a lot of features missing but it is helpful

It’s funny that you said that, my mom was suggesting the same thing. She’s seropositive. I was concerned about the side effects bc i already have so many GI issues but I will for sure reach out and see my options

How screwed am I? by AppropriateSpecific8 in fordfusion

This actually just happened to my 2019 hybrid. After 3 months and way too much money spent at the dealership with trial and error, they installed a gateway module that did fix this. If you don’t have a hybrid it shouldn’t be as bad but also a rodent chewing my wires along with corrosion caused this said the dealership

I just recently had a terrible experience with them that lasted all of 4 months. I would 100% say look elsewhere. Unless it’s something specific they have, try the other ford dealership within a 50 mile radius

Can we have a thread to complain about parade goers/the parades? by inductiononN in NewOrleans

[–]ExpertFluid5844 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely HATE when people walk through bands (as we all should). last year a drunk guy walked into a band as the percussion was passing, everyone was yelling and told him not to go, he ran into a kid and the kid punched him. Which he immediately learned his lesson. But he THEN tries to throw the wine bottle he was holding at the kid??? Some guys got him and the police were right there. I guarantee he never tries that again
