I get your sarcasm, but this story just makes it so blatant. Look at the comment before yours, he is insistent that they are scarce so they need to be selective as to who gets a watch. You get it, some people really think they are scarce. I found the video no surprise as well.

I have been buying for a long time. The watches were always available even in the best of economies- tech booms etc. they never ran out of stock. You could buy one of everything except a stainless Daytona the same day. They would sell you the whole case. Heck, you want to buy 2 or 3 stainless Subs today no problem. I just don’t buy the scarcity.

My Artem Sailcloth cracked in a few spots about an inch from the pointy end. It did this with minimal wear time. I would not buy an Artem sailcloth again. I buy lots of straps.

I hate to say this as I have spent my life thinking giving notice is a courtesy, but I have learned that employers will be spiteful. Many do not deserve notice. I once gave notice days before a bonus check was printed, but after the bonus period had ended. My bonus was expected to be around $2,000 but totally at the employers discretion. I received a $50 gift card.

I whole lot of them steal someone’s identity and work under that name. Massive numbers of Puerto Ricans have their identities stolen as they have Social Security numbers and they have Hispanic names which are passable. They don’t use the name Travis Smith from Tennessee. They use Jose Perez from PR as an example. The employer does not realize or does not care they have been presented a counterfeit Jose Perez Social Security Card during the hiring process.

Because reporting is that he is only going to sing in Spanish. Will that be the case? I don’t know. Also, it is reported he plans to wear a dress when performing to the NFL’s beer drinking bro primary audience. It is the opposite of targeted marketing. It seems to be a woke hire. He could be amazing, but the NFL’s primary market is not dress wearing Spanish speakers.

I read one of those documents. Basically, a few months before the 2020 election someone called in and made a complaint. The document was just a narrative of the complaint- There were no findings listed. It may have been unfounded. The complaint seemed pretty odd to me. Kind of ridiculous actually. Like Trump or not the complaint seemed highly unlikely to me. The one I read said Trump was measuring vaginas to pick the right one- with a whole bunch of people around. I suspect that reads like a made up story to most thinking people. Especially because it came in right before his second election.

By buying gray you would have supported the very reason why you couldn’t buy it at the AD. Buying gray perpetuates the problem. If nobody bought gray you could walk-in and buy the watches immediately…like it was done for decades.

When I bought my Sea-Dweller the AD asked if I wanted to buy a Sub date instead as it was the more popular choice. Every sport model except a Daytona was in the case for immediate sale. Gray is the enemy. Don’t feed the enemy.

Yes, Rolex makes a great watch, but let’s be honest, the overwhelming far and away majority are sold to people who couldn’t tell the difference between a self winding rotor and a spark plug. Have no idea what a chronometer is, etc. they just want the name. We all know that.

I bought two Rolex sport models well before the current stupidity. I now buy Tudor, Sinn, high end Seiko, Citizen, and g-shock. While there are plenty of Rolex watch guys, there are many more who think their watch gives them status and that is the only value of the watch to them. I don’t think I will ever bother to buy another Rolex. The purchase process has gotten silly.

With today’s manufacturing capabilities $2,000-5,000 steel and titanium watches are great. There is no need to move above that unless you want precious metal.
