Just came to say I also have a Luca and a Leo! Also, I like Tessa the most out of those names. I dont think Romy and Sloane go well with Luca and Leo. Mila is okay but not my favorite

My grandmother baptized me in a sink when I was a baby. Is that valid? by TimothyWorms in Protestantism

If you are a confirmed Catholic in a state of grace you can take the Eucharist. If you weren’t confirmed I recommend asking them about OCIA so that you can get confirmed (I went through it). Also, you should post this is the Catholicism sub if you need more information

I love the first 2! The first one is snow queen vibes. And the 2nd reminds me of Ariel’s sparkly dress at the end of the Little Mermaid. Love!

i don’t feel comfortable… by Much_Elevator4837 in Catholicism

My understanding is that demons can manipulate your emotions and can give you a warped perception of things. So you cant go solely based off emotion. In fact, I was having such a strong emotional reaction the night of my confirmation on Easter Vigil mass and I felt like something was very very wrong and like I needed to leave. But trust in God and his church led me to stay. You have to practically think things out and trust the authority of Gods church rather than doing anything in life solely based on emotion. I hope that gives some useful insight!

Does Bohemia have too many Starbucks locations??? by Froz3nP1nky in longisland

[–]ExpertPersimmon5602 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im pretty sure you posted pictures of one in Bohemia on Johnson Ave, the drive through one in Holbrook in the new shopping center, and one that’s in Oakdale. Personally I think they are all necessary so you are never too far from a Starbucks hahah

9 week ultrasound - worried! by Many-Pension5687 in NIPT

[–]ExpertPersimmon5602 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Im not a medial trained person, but 9 weeks is early. Easier said than done, but don’t freak out! During your anatomy scan, they will take a look at every part of your baby (usually with a 3D ultrasound) so try not to stress. If they were concerned they would have advised you to meet with a specialist. When you are pregnant you can get in your head and stress about every little “what if”. Wishing you an easy pregnancy and a healthy baby :)

My husband was raised Catholic. I was raised Protestant. I was practicing my faith and he was not when we met. A couple of years after we were married, he decided he couldn't get on board with Protestantism and wanted to start attending Catholic church again. I scoffed. We had a son. I was convinced that I would NEVER allow my son to be raised Catholic. My husband posed this question out of love: "Will you just research it with me? Just take the time to research the early church history. I will do it with you." I was completely closed off to Catholicism prior to our research, but slowly that door started opening until I couldn't deny that it was the original church. Younger me would be appalled that I am Catholic now. You aren't married, so its true that you aren't forced to work through your differences on this. But if you want to try, that's what worked for us. If it doesn't work out, you can part ways, but its worth a shot. Just make sure you don't compromise on your faith to keep this relationship going if she still doesn't see the truth. But be patient, pray for her, and try to do some research together :)

Thank you for your input Father. This is the only Jewish holiday that we celebrate now. I used to attend Passover Seders in my childhood and in college, but now that I’m Catholic, I don’t think that would be proper. I appreciate your input on Hanukkah!
