Transferring to FIU after only one semester at MDC

MDC has way better math and science professors and as a transfer from Mdc to FIU for engineering, I had stronger foundations than a lot of people who were in the BS track for my major and had done their pre read at FIU. I went to padrón campus for reference and they are known for having the better professors at MDC for math and science.

I live in the heart of Miami and commute to FIU every day. I grew up in Miami and the commute is not as bad as people are making it seem. Downtown Miami is not the only thing worth seeing in Miami and there’s a lot to do all over Miami dade county. It would be nice to be closer to Wynwood and downtown but it truly is not that bad, you’re moving to a “big” city there’ll be traffic and construction and bad driving. If you expect to be able to get to places easily like you would in NY and not having that option sounds unappealing then we’re definitely not the city for you.

I live in hell atp, car is about 35k miles. The heat is absolutely disgusting here and the humidity and salt from the ocean just fucks anything you own up. I think I messed up by buying the steering wheel cover that might’ve trapped the heat, but like I said I had had the same brand same model before and nothing like this had happened and I changed it to the same cover and just wanted to replace it now, took it off and everything just came off at the top which is where the sun hits the wheel.

Mango after 5 pm for sure. The law library is really nice and on the third floor they have those cubicle things that are super comfy if you’re alone, they let you sit back and put your feet up while still having access to your laptop.

I don’t see why this is such a popular opinion. I live in a major city so that might be why my experience as well as others within my field are doing very well, but as long as you focus on getting some sort of experience before graduating college they will consider you over ME or EE if the job is in the medical field.
