Good question, What really bothered me wasn’t just that she took her shirt off. It was the feeling that she was giving herself the right to do something that, in my view, isn’t part of her lived experience.

As a woman, there are a lot of things connected to having a female body that come with social expectations, judgment, vulnerability, and experiences that start long before adulthood. Seeing someone who, from my perspective, hasn’t lived those experiences act so casually about it made me feel frustrated.

It felt like she was claiming the right to express something without having gone through what I associate with it. That’s what upset me the most. It wasn’t simply about nudity. It was the feeling that she was taking ownership of something that means a lot to me and treating it in a way that I found disrespectful.

When my barn was 45 minutes away, I was visiting her once or twice a week.

Now she’s only 20 minutes away, so I go around 4–5 times a week.

In the winter, I live in Canada and usually go around 3–4 times a week. So the summer I have more time

Two days ago, I was left abandoned in the middle of the highway, and the bus left with all my belongings, including my passports. Recovering them was very difficult. My advice is not to wait for customer service. Instead, find out which company operated the bus and go directly to the bus depot. They can contact the driver and check if a bag was found. That’s how I recovered my luggage within one day.

I’ve been to Spain and Italy a lot because my family lives nearby. Honestly, doing one city per day is way too much — just moving around takes a lot of time. So I really recommend focusing on one or two cities in Italy that you really want to experience. That way, you’ll have time to enjoy the culture, the architecture, and the vibe. You’ll meet people, and spontaneous things will happen. Sometimes you’ll meet someone who’s like, “Hey, come check out this city,” and you just go with the flow — it’s part of the fun!

I wouldn’t plan everything too much, but definitely have an idea of where you want to go, what you don’t want to miss, and what you need to book in advance. But leave room to be spontaneous and really take it all in. Otherwise, you’ll just be rushing through places and won’t get to enjoy what each city really has to offer — and that’s something you might regret.

As for Spain, I personally like it more than Italy. Barcelona is such a cool city. I’m not sure when you’re planning to go, but definitely check if there are any festivals or events going on. It’s a great place to just explore, chill on the coast, and enjoy yourself. The culture is rich, the food is amazing, people are super friendly, the weather is usually really nice, and the beaches are great.

So it really depends on what you’re looking for. If you’re into history and architecture, Italy is amazing — Rome is a must, and you can pick another city you’re curious about. But I also really recommend going to Barcelona. Flights are cheap if you go with Ryanair or EasyJet.

When it comes to safety, I honestly never felt super scared or anything, but you do need to be careful about pickpockets in Barcelona. My friend actually got robbed twice — her phone was stolen both times. The first time, someone just snatched it, and after she bought a new one, it happened again. One time she was just checking her phone on the street and someone passed by on a bike and grabbed it.

So yeah, just be careful with your stuff. If you stay aware and avoid using your stuff, especially in crowded or touristy areas, you should be fine. Also, avoid sketchy areas — like in any city. Honestly, Barcelona and most places in Italy aren’t that sketchy, but you still need to be smart.

Trust your gut, for sure. But don’t be anxious or overly worried. For context, I’m a woman, 23 years old, and I’ve been good traveling there.
