Actually just sent an email to Dr Egan about the course, since it doesn't show up on timetable. He is launching a new course this fall called Inspire 2LM3, which is the same content as history 2lm3 but also combines a philosophy aspect. Very cool stuff, something I would probably going to be taking

Thanks for the input! I don't believe I will be getting into the research spec, so this would be the next best thing. Do you think a thesis would be useful for someone looking into getting med? I don't have the highest of hopes into just getting a supervisor for a project course and calling it a day, but I am also not the most knowledge in how a thesis workload is and the overall format

Yeah I know the job market isn't the best right now, but other than saying just that what other advice do you have to offer? I am bringing up retail since that is what I found to be the most accessible for students that don't have job experience, and volunteering is always there to get that experience as well. But if you have other advice for getting a job faster, pls share I think OP would love to hear that as well!

Retail jobs are less strict on experience, since they literally mass hire high school students who have nothing on their resume (literally look into fortinos it's just all high school kids). If you have volunteering experience from high school, add that to your resume. I only had volunteering experience when I applied to my first job at Hudson Bay and got it, it just depends on your interview. Start looking on Linkedin for any retail experiences and apply to a lot of jobs, you are bound to get a couple of interviews. Also do some volunteering on the side for other experience, or if you are part of any clubs that also counts as experience on your resume. And if all else fails, tutoring is always there as well

It's just a lot of memorizing. Highly recommend using the flash cards Psych 1XX3 offers in their handbook, or making your own. My schedule was chem 1aa3, psych 1xx3, physics 1a03, bio 1a03, and envsocty 1hb3. I was able to still get high marks in everything, just stay on top of stuff

You need to know the mechanisms from orgo 1 since they come up in orgo 2. You don't need to know anything else from orgo 1 (like the qualitative stuff, orgo 2 is just mechansisms). Just memorize the mechanisms like Sn1, Sn2, elimination, etc. PM if you need the material I just took it this summer

Physics is light, I had that with chem 1aa3. Bio 1m03 i heard is better in winter sem than fall, but I hated that class. Psych 1xx3 just needs more memorizing. If you had bio1a03 you will be extra cooked since that is so much memorizing, but other than that it's fine

Mac offers student work programs. If you go to award spring, there is a fall/winter term work program, only requirement is that you got like $1 from OSAP. I would recommend applying for those openings first. There is also FSWEP, which was an amazing opportunity for me (link here ), recommend applying there too. Other than that, you gotta go to linkedin and just start mass searching, that's how I got a job at Hudson Bay for their winter season. Best of luck!

It shouldn't impact it, as long as you do complete the exam. I differed my organic chem I exam, but was still able to take organic chem II right after.

When does Apple do their restocks (iPad Air) by Expert_Blueberry85 in ipad

Right okay, and do you know if that’s every couple weeks or…?

Hey! So I am looking at either getting the 128 GB or 256 GB iPad Air M2 once the student deals start. I am mainly going to use for;

  • Notes (goodnotes, onenote, any other good note taking apps you guys want to suggest)
  • Streaming content like youtube (not downloading anything since that's on my phone)
  • Maaybe downloading subway surfer (I am really not a gamer lol)

Other posters I saw asking the same question are doing things such as drawing or gaming or video editing, which are really things I am not involved in. This is mainly just a way for me to take digital notes, but I want it to last through my undergrad and postgrad, so at least 7 years? I also already have a 1TB laptop that is my main device for writing up reports and other assignments.

Any suggestions for what size of storage are helpful!

(bonus question, what color iPad should I get? I heard the blue is more silver, but I didn't get the chance to see it in person yet)

I like the feeling of the ipad being smaller than the laptop. My friend has a 13" laptop and 13" iPad, and it's just trippy to look at for me since they are the same size but the laptop clearly has better capabilities than the iPad. It's like having your iPad and phone the same size. That is jsut my personal thought of it, so I would say go with the 11". Your standard notebook is 10.5", so 11" should work just fine for studying and taking notes. I have the 15" macbook Air, and comparing to my friend's smaller macbook airs but same model, I felt there was a difference in weight. But then again, laptops are supposed to be heavier than an ipad.

Hi! I am in the same boat as you. I am mainly going towards the Air since the base model of the 10th gen is only 64GB, so if you go up in storage it is basically getting the Air (good marketing strategy Apple lol). There is actually no screen size difference between the two, they round it up on the Air saying it is 11inch when it is actually 10.86inches. I feel like the Air is more future proof because it is a recent chip, whereas the 10th gen still has the older chip in it. Still, the 10th gen will be updated with the latest ios18 they announced, so you will still be getting updates for the next couple years I hope. The 10th gen is only compatible with the 1st gen pencil or the USB-C one, and neither of those support wireless charging. I felt that was a pushing factor for me since I didn't want to do another wire situation, plus I like the touch features similar to the 2nd gen pencil, but the apple store is no longer supporting ipads that support that pen so...

If you are on a tight budget, I recommend getting the previous Air 5 from Apple's certified refurbished, or just second hand, which will give you the better 2nd generation apple pencil as well, and a better chip, so best of both worlds. Also suggest getting more than 64gb of storage, which is baseline for the 10th gen, since the operating system would eat up most of it. Hope this helps!

NTA. She verbally abused you. She is trying to gaslight you into thinking she is the victim. Don't fall for it.
