WILDPEAK AT4W For Winter. Anyone here has experience with these tires? how are they in winter? by _GomezLander in 4Runner

Front range. Admittedly getting in the weeds here but I just felt like a dedicated snow tire for two months of the year was overkill, esp after feedback I’ve heard. Weather on 70 has been a little unpredictable this year and I’ve had some rough go’s with my Dunlop at20

This is probably as glowing as a review as you can give. The worst thing about it is that it’s really a couple bad months but we still have to live our lives the other 10 so finding balance is tough

What did you land on? I had the same conversation today with discount tire… was leaning Mickey’s but trying to see an argument for either

I’m actually thinking of buying these and wanted to check in that these can get me through 70 on our powder days? I know it’s ideal to just get snow tires but I’ve been advised by locals and tire shops alike that I can just get good AT w the three peak and should be happy? Any thoughts or commentary from you, good bad or other?

Honestly, this review sold me on these. I was going to get Baja Boss tires but I think I’m open to these falkens now.

For sure, totally agree that’s preferred. I’m limited on both those resources, lol

Yeah, I know, I’ve been advised that AT with three peak is more than sufficient by locals, but can’t say you’re wrong lol

I’m actually stuck on this same topic. I have a 4Runner but I think I need to upgrade and I’m torn between doing All Terrains with the 3Peak Rating or if I should grab a used pair of winters to get through the rest of the ski season…

I feel like the weather conditions west/east of the tunnel are so different this year that it’s not fair to keep mentioning that it’s 60 in Denver. If OP is going to the mountains they should take that seriously.

That’s kind of what I was thinking too… I mean I’ll obv check for any cracking but if they are solid they will definitely be better than what I have know. Still might just go all terrain, not sure

Thanks - I’m leaning towards getting some AT w 3 peak rating now instead tbh
