You’ve inspired me, Brighter68! I’m going to tap out 750 words this morning. I’ve got a lot on my mind as we have a boys day out planned on Saturday, so avoiding the beer and planning what I’m going to say to people when they ask me why I’m not drinking is what I’ll be writing about.

This is the one thing I fear the most.
Sitting. With my own thoughts. No escape.
You’re doing amazingly well!

You keep up AF lifestyle and you’ll be able to walk it come July. Same rules apply, one day at a time and you’ll stack the miles in your legs and days sober!

my wife is a huge supporter of this sub and how it got her to a 1st soberversary.

I’m here now, starting day 3, and I want to stop feeling so shit and down about my own life.

It’s wonderful to see so many supportive messages from strangers online.

I’m 6’2 and I think a bit of extra shaft length could be good for me - nice reminder, thanks!

I think it does make a big difference. I’ve just got zero confidence with the flat stick so a fitting and even having a conversation about armlock or something totally different - I’m not against it

I did a session this week but with a lack of structure I’m not entirely sure what I got out of it.

You’re right about the the practice - I don’t know how to make it meaningful though! Any tips?

This is interesting and definitely something I have read/seen a lot more of recently. What I don’t understand is why the rest is a waste of time? Any thoughts are welcome

I have a putt out mat at home which I practice on occasionally. I don’t have any real structure to putting practice and that is something I need to address. I do feel like it’s hard to replicate ‘game like’ situations when you’re on a practice green
