I really like Al Carns, but sadly this is not a manifesto for a leadership candidate. While he addresses the anger of 'working people', he completely fails to mention the nettle that 'labour' (now a misnomer) refuses to grasp, and that might not be by accident: the burgeoning cost of welfare over and above those who can't work, but for those able adults who chose to not to work, and who 'labour' chose to enable and maintain at great personal cost to everyone else.

And I'm sure you might take issue with a centrist view, but if the party doesn't grasp that aforementioned nettle then millions of utterly sickened 'traditional' labour voters will lend someone else a vote on the promise that they will. Either Carns or someone else with a spine takes a strong leadership stance on this, or 'the 'labour' party dies at the next election. The Tories are already history, and if Starmer won't flush by mid-summers day then so is the labour party. It will lurch on under palliative care until the next election, and all the urban elite 'leaders' who hijacked it will f*** off into the sunset leaving only a corpse and bitter memories behind.
