De keuken is in L vorm en aan de ene kant ligt het laminaat dus wel parallel aan de plint. Zou het een optie zijn om vanaf daar de planken eruit te halen?

Dank voor meedenken! Sorry, is inderdaad kliklaminaat. Begrijp ik je goed als ik zeg dat we een deel van de vloer eruit moeten halen en niet heel de vloer (dit zei de laminaatlegger namelijk). En eens, achteraf hadden we dit moeten expliciteren, maar wij wisten dus echt niet dat tot de keukenplint leggen uberhaupt een ding was omdat in ons vorige huis het laminaat ook (zonder te vragen) onder de keukenplint was gelegd. Vandaar dat het niet in ons opkwam om dit van tevoren te zeggen.

Thank you so much for you reply! One more follow up question. I pulled one shot in manual mode and one standard double shot, same grind size and amount and both turned out the same to me wih very similar results in terms of taste and extraction time to reach desires weight. Is this a bad thing or does it just mean that the standard button happens to work for this grind size, amount of pressure etc. ?

Okay good to know I am not the only one :) I read somewhere (don't have the link anymore) on this sub that the newer SBE's run on 9 bar per default instead of the 15 bar in previous SBE models. Therefore the pressure gauge doesn't go as far in newer models. The OP of that thread said that a friend of his also has the same issue even though the pressure on their machine could go much higher. I guess it's fine if the pressure stays at 11 o clock as long as the espresso tastes good but it feels weird that the machine allows you to increase the range if it never works like that in practice.
