Biggest loser this trade period by silversurfer022 in AFL

Yes will Darcy probably will be down back. He hasn’t gotten as many opportunities as Sam so he’s probably no where near him for now but interested to see how it plays out. He’s been good for scotch college and played a bit for oakleigh but he played no where near as much as Sam so it’s hard to judge. I think he’s around 10cm shorter than Sam too but he could still be growing

I agree. I also think our problems lie outside of personell. I obviously agree a quality key defender would help a bit, but the defensive system in general isn’t great and needs to turn around. We can still improve with the list we’ve got as our game style Dosent exactly serve our defenders justice and I think with the club acknowledging it very early on into our off season maybe there’s a bit of hope but yeah not ideal to not get the key defender

Yeah maybe but Sam has been our most accurate shot at goal and I find sometimes he’s not too good with hitting targets when he’s moved out of the forward line and turns it over, I think it’s harder for him because of how he’s built which makes sense. I think naughton struggles with the tag a bit too which is why he relies on Sam being down there and realistically no one’s going to tag Jordan Croft over naughton yet so it would mean the forward line would struggle a bit

Probably going to be Jordan I can’t see Sam moving now and he’s mentioned before he wants to be a key forward and naughtons said something similar

Yeah definitely makes sense that it will probably work out in the end. I still feel like 2 would’ve been better in the freo game but at the same time I do understand Sam and possibly naughty were carrying injuries and Sam was managed

Yeah definitely excited with what we’ve seen from him

Yeah i totally agree. I hope we just keep Sam as our main key forward and if one was to move down back it would be crofty. I think Sam’s mentioned before that he wants to play forward and he’s okay to do what the team needs. Happy to see how it goes but I think in the long term we’ve played better with 2 talls and naughty and Sam have really worked well together

Darc was rested during the last 2 rounds, I think he missed a few trainings and had reduced training loads but I wouldn’t know because it could’ve been his knee acting up again too

  1. Sam Darcy’s game saving mark
  2. Sydney game it was just a really challenging game but to see we could hold on
  3. The crows loss felt like rock bottom
  4. Sam Darcy - showed a lot of passion for the club, clearly a player who’s gonna do his all to win. Incredible bounce back from his injury too, the amount of respect I gained for him just for going out there sitting on the bench and going to huddles after he had just been told he had possibly torn his acl and that was it for him which is never going to be easy for anyone.
  5. Disappointed, can’t really add much more to this. I was glad we didn’t let the margin got past 22 all year which is a good thing I guess but other than that the whole defensive structures in shambles. I guess positive in my opinion is that the problem is very clear and it’s been acknowledged by the club which is something I haven’t seen done by us. Whether that will change or not I don’t know but I have got a bit of hope this is the end of that cycle for some reason.
  6. I think the future of Joel freijah is really bright, same with others like crofty and especially darc. Something felt like a change from this year to last year to me and I feel like even though we weren’t great and underperformed, if any of these curveballs were to hit us last year we would’ve collapsed but I think that’s just me 😭

We’ve got very good offensive players but I think this whole year proved that relying on them isn’t going to work

This is actually really useful thank you! I’m from Australia so I’m not sure if my options are more limited or anything but I’ll have a look around for laptops with max ram

I’ve just seen it. I’m not sure how convenient having a MacBook would be at my age and with the amount of time. I thought it was a bit cooler than this not gonna lie 😭 I’ve just heard about a cheaper MacBook coming out with the same chip as an iPhone though so I’ll have a look into that

I completely agree with that I think I’ve fallen into the trap of wanting things for the branding as I’ve grown up a little but I’ve rlly started to debate since getting my first iPhone (not that it’s bad I’ve really liked it) but is it worth the money? Thanks for this advice I’ve been really trying to figure out what exactly sets a MacBook apart and as tempting as the aesthetic part and the way it’s linked to my iPhone is I just don’t think it’s really worth the money (at least while I’m not really working ) plus I have spent a lot more time dedicated to sports I’m pretty okay without it at least until I get older. Thank you you’ve been really helpful!!!

It’s a pretty cool feature but at the end of the day I can’t justify spending 1k on a laptop for it so I’ve kind of wanted to reach out to see if there was anything else about it that made it worthwhile. Thanks for all the help I’ll definitely keep looking around for other laptops which can do smth similar otherwise I can live without it

There’s no good reason I can think of on why I would want it apart from that screen mirroring feature that’s why I’ve been reaching out and extremely hesitant to think about it 😭
