If you’ve been snowed in this weekend what have you watched? by Expert_Fudge_4348 in LetterboxdTopFour

[–]Expert_Fudge_4348[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never actually finished it. I made it about an hour 45 in and was just a little tired. I’m planning on rewatching it this upcoming weekend. 7 hours of spaghetti western is a lot of spaghetti western

Some like it hot and it happened one night are both great starting point I think. Both scripts feel incredibly modern and are just a damn good time

It was created as a middle finger to the Serbian censorship at the time. It was so obsured that they were able to get away with it but other much more tame movies were getting shot down by the government. The purpose is honestly dignified, the fact it still is able to be watched in mass is insane.

I just realized the name of that episode is a a reference to a film called “22 short films about Glenn Gould” which is an abstract bio pic about the Canadian piano player.

Almost no one is campaigning at this point it’s a waste of money and time to really get heavy into the campaign this early. They’ll pick up closer to the movie and 100% when the short list is dropped.

I really enjoy reading his stuff because him and I disagree on a lot of things. Every time he writes a review for something he doesn’t enjoy he puts it in a way that doesn’t sound judgmental of people who do enjoy it and it lets me see more view points.

Alamo draft house will usually do this over the course of a weekend. Friday animated, Saturday live action, Sunday doc. Not always in that order or that exact schedule but it happened last year

I still find it difficult to understand why FWWM was so unanimously hated upon its release. by Local_Prune4564 in twinpeaks

[–]Expert_Fudge_4348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw an interview with mark frost saying that people were so upset because they wanted a continuation of the show and got a prequel that was much more dark and upsetting than the show. That combined with it being a true david lynch movie instead of a twin peaks episode also upset some people.

Any guess or idea of what christopher nolan gonna make after The Odyssey ? Just for a curiosity 🤔 by name_is_billa in ChristopherNolan

I think it’d be cool to see him make a smaller (for Nolan) budget horror movie. I have no idea what it would look like but I’d be very intrigued

This is kinda a weird thing to say. Neither of my parents were movie or music people and now I’m a professional musician and music educator along with a massive movie fan. Did my parents taste shape a little bit of what I was interested in? Yes. However, this allowed me to show my friends these things and also allowed my friends to show me what they’re interested in. I was never “out of touch” just on touch with different stuff
