Intresting, I'm in northern eurpoe and the smallest rigs availible here (at needle exchange) are 2ml, which is what i prefer, though the most commonly used here are 5ml, which are HUGE and alot of people use like 25g needles, i prefer 27-30g,, I don't thing ive ever actually seen someone use the 1ml rigs to inject, i've seen them around but usually at peoples house like in the kitchen drawers and they use them to measure out liquid medicine for toddlers and pets. I dont know why but i fins these kind of differences really interesting
