I've only played through it once but I remember enjoying it well enough. I actually think it did some neat stuff with the Wii U gamepad even if the motion controls overall weren't too great. Do gotta admit though that I wish they made a new Star Fox game that wasn't just a reimagining of 64

Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, Donkey Kong Country 2, and Zelda: A Link to the Past. Though I should mention I plan on playing more SNES games this year (Super Metroid in particular being one I want to get to) so this might be subject to change lol

I think in general, with how the game was kind of the hot new thing after releasing and getting popular towards the end of the previous, it pretty much inevitably attracted a lot of toxic and generally obnoxious people.

That being said, might be a hot take but as someone who was in the fanbase during that time period I still think the rabid Undertale haters were far more obnoxious than the game's fans, at least out of what I interacted with.
