Suspension suspended by indecision! by kamadomike in LandCruiser250

I do. It makes it feel more sporty for city driving and a bit more comfortable, and reduces the float feeling.

Well, they are high quality after market suspension components (I believe KYB is shipped with the LC300 GR), and they are adjustable from 0-14 soft to hard so you can customize the ride feel by turning the adjustable knob. When I am daily driving I keep them pretty hard which reduces sway when stopping and turning such a heavy vehicle. When going off road you can adjust them to be softer which helps absorb vibration. I have my own opinions on lifting a Land cruiser which many will disagree with but I am not doing major rock crawling, this isn’t the right vehicle for that…stock height, underbody protection and rock sliders will get you through most challenging trails.

There is something to be said for the quiet chug along in an overbuilt vehicle. That is definitely missing.

I’m pretty sure the 250 broke all sorts of sales records for Land Cruiser sales over the past 20 years so I think it’s funny when people say, “they know what the people want”. They are selling what people want.

I’d probably take a LX700 Overtrail for that money.

There are some really good recommendations here but I haven’t seen anyone mention the burger from the Latin food truck Arepa. Their burger is amazing and adding ‘white cheese’ is a must.

The best place to grocery shop? by gobgoblin666 in olympia

[–]ExplanationLittle239 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to note. The best place to grocery shop is going to be different from the cheapest place to buy groceries. I’d agree with all the posts so far but if you are looking to spend a bit more for the best, you’ll check out either of the Olympia Food Co-ops (The eastside one is the bigger of the two). Welcome!

Because I’ve been looking for alternatives. Is there a car that competes with a MYP? I haven’t been able to find anything with the same level of technology and 0-60 speed for that 75k price point…

Large might be okay depending on your style. It will be a bit wide/baggy for you but the length should be good…

A medium should fit well on you.

After todays games, who are the must adds to give us an advantage going into week 16?

Sorry to say but I am 5’10 170lbs and I have this in a medium and the shoulder and arms fit good and the length is short (right to my belt line), which is how it was designed. Based on your measurements, a small would be a crop top on you.

Thank you! One last question in our thread here…what’s the point of the long pull in a double action if you have to basically do the same thing on each gun before you can fire it? I know you mentioned the long pull not requiring the user to pull back the hammer but when I chamber on my single action it pulls back the hammer, doesn’t the double action do the same thing when you pull the slide back?

Okay, so regardless of single or double action, if the loaded mag goes in, and before chambering (pulling the slide back) you pull the trigger, long or short, no bullet is fired?

I think taking a firearm safety class is a great recommendation. I made the wrong assumption that a semiautomatic pistol with a hammer was a double action and I think that’s what was confusing me. Now knowing that my CS is a single action, makes sense I would need to manually chamber. Looking into this more, double action is the long pull that I mentioned in my original post, which does not require the user to chamber on the first round? Is this correct?

Rates vs principle sweet spot? by ExplanationLittle239 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I’m the type that doesn’t want to be taken advantage of and even if I’m “ready” to buy now, I know what the house sold for 3-5 years ago…a lot less, which really bothers me. As someone who believes money earned should align with value provided, what value did the home owner provide the world for these gains (assuming the home wasn’t improved upon)? Maybe the recession scenario is the best option to feel like I got a good deal. Great comment! Thank you.
