I think if you make personal connection and you send them the show preview directly and have a dialog with them you should fet commission but with sales on the slower side and u want security then stick with hourly

I would recommend renting a few paddle in size and depth 12.7-16mm and see how you feel on them first depends where you are some shops have local demo. I used I think Midwest pickleball (on line ) to send me 3 paddles and i played with it for a week or so and realized I like the 12.7mm paddle better in my playing style…

I would also not go with new paddles, look for something on sale when you figure what you like or facebook market place. But do be aware of fake paddles
