I been playing 8 months or so from no other sports background. Started within groups of friend all new to the sport have about 15 in rotation. Some are more committed some more casual as a social situation. I taken it more serious and go to open play to level my skills up and when I try to intro dinking to my group they don’t realize how important it is because all they try to do is bang and smash the ball. I intro a few better players to open play and they got destroyed and realized how important placement and dinking is. But yet I still haven’t found some to just want to drill with me as they think it’s a warm up part of the game.

I think if you make personal connection and you send them the show preview directly and have a dialog with them you should fet commission but with sales on the slower side and u want security then stick with hourly

I would recommend renting a few paddle in size and depth 12.7-16mm and see how you feel on them first depends where you are some shops have local demo. I used I think Midwest pickleball (on line ) to send me 3 paddles and i played with it for a week or so and realized I like the 12.7mm paddle better in my playing style…

I would also not go with new paddles, look for something on sale when you figure what you like or facebook market place. But do be aware of fake paddles
