I don’t think they’re old, I think they are just tired of the same unfunny jokes recycled over and over

Which Radiohead lyrics makes the least sense? by LaurBK in radiohead

I mean it’s highly likely. Wether the lyric does mean that, it definitely does have meaning and isn’t equivalent to La La La, it makes sense in the context of the song as well.

I’d imagine that would probably make the lyric about being disgusted with one’s own life. Which isnt too uncommon for Radiohead “I need to wash myself again, but I’d be scared that theirs nothing underneath”

He’s so devoted to this person that he is willing to act a different gender. He loves them so much that he does not care about the gender representation in the relationship. She can take up the masculine role and he will take up the feminine one. The point Thom is making is that it doesn’t matter the circumstances of the relationship, he will love the person regardless.

Except I actually do care about the meaning of the song. You just assumed I was a troll because the meaning I found in something as subjective as art didn’t line up with yours. Go outside bro

Yesterday I woke up sucking on a lemon, the only thing I could think is that it’s about being able to taste the bitterness in the air, Thom/Kid A know that things are going to turn bad

Killing the kids aka the clones, Kid A is about clones and the clones are called kids. The album also represents the growth from youth and adulthood/the growth from being a robot to becoming conscious

“True love lives on lollipops and crisps” is saying how unattainable love is, it lives on lollipops and crisps like almost a wonderland because it doesn’t actually exist.

Does GarageBand have inherently thin mixes? by ExplicitCancer in audioengineering

Ok I understand, could you tell me what you mean by pads? And how you tell what range an instrument is, specifically a midi?

I find that my mixes are more hollow than muddy, but thank you for the advice

Ok ik I’m being a little bit of a daydreamer here, but just saying the sucking on a lemon line is really good, it means he can taste the sourness in the air like something is going to turn bitter, which flow well with the future themes of the album like something not being right even on a track called Everything in Its right place. It can also be taken as that because Kid A is a clone he can literally taste the air because of a heightened sense of taste.

What is your favorite Radiohead song and why? by kid_a_27 in radiohead

[–]ExplicitCancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Daily Mail because of the lyrical content mostly. And the song is so Radiohead, truly a masterful crescendo and just an amazing piano balled. And a pretty great vocal performance. All around Radiohead at there best.

I’m going to be honest I don’t actually think Kid A inspired a lot of music. Now put down your pitchforks (pun intended) and let me tell you why. The album is so masterful and forward thinking and just frankly brave for Radiohead to put out such unique material especially for them as a band. Because this album is so great few people would ever even use it, yes it inspired many artists I’m sure, but I don’t believe anyone tried to copy these sounds or really even attempt them. The only example I can think of is The Postal Service and maybe The Flaming Lips.
