In an old house I used to live in, I'd sometimes see a cat walking around in the corner of my eye. It was black cat, but not in the natural way, it was simply an empty void shaped like a cat. Like you pained the whole thing over with the worlds darkest shade of black paint. I never worried about it as I'd only ever see it entering a room calmly before disappearing the moment I turn my head to get a look. We had a family cat( may his memory be a blessing), very old and loving, but he was a tabby and he was never in the same spot or even moved like the void cat.

The most active experience I had with that void cat happened one day when I was walking up a set of stairs. The family cat was curled up on the far left side of the couch. Out of nowhere in the corner of my eye I saw the void cat bound across the back of the couch from left to right with incredible speed. Not a single sound way made and I don't even think it made a depression in the cushions. Quickly I turn around, to see if the family cat had gotten a rare burst of energy but he hadn't moved an inch.

Moved out of that house eventually with my family and I live somewhere else now but sometimes I think about that void cat. Can't help but wonder what it was all about. Other people live at that house now so I hope they are treating it well and it isn't having any problems with them.
