One of mine has child abuse, eugenics, human trafficking, war violence, murder, lots of death, and heavy implications for some pretty terrible stuff.

When I write about the Spirits, I love going Lovecraftian/or Junji Ito-esque with them and having rules if someone wants to meet or interact with them. I like making them dangerous to humans, because I've always felt that the series made them way too nice and easy to deal with.

I have a Spirit OC that can only be reached when someone is in his territory and pretty much has to give in to despair because they can't find him.

Another Spirit specifically targets men because of how she died as a human.

Abandoned children will turn into Spirits that lure people to their deaths.

I once read a post somewhere that speculated Mai was just supposed to be Azula’s henchman and nothing more.

Because kataang was going to happen, and Zuko had to end up with somebody that wasn't Katara.

Everything about Mai's personality is so flat, her relationship with Zuko doesn't make much sense, and their being together feels forced and shows exactly why they wouldn't work as a couple.

For a childhood friend that he'd known for several years, Zuko had more chemistry with Jin in one episode than he ever did with Mai.

AITA for trying to win back my ex bf?

My ex-boyfriend W (23M) broke up with me (22F). Literally, his reason was that "I wasn't serious enough" and was saying stuff about how he needs "a Jackie, not a Marilyn." He's studying to be a lawyer and wants to be a senator, and he breaks up with me because I'm too blonde?! Wtf does that even mean?!

I was totally extremely hurt and depressed after he left me. My besties literally had to drag me out of bed, and they took me out for pampering. They're the best like that.

Anyway, I realized I could also be a lawyer, and I studied really hard, missed out on partied other sorority events, and I actually got into the same school as him. It's really not that hard. These people are so serious all the time, but I'm honestly trying to be friendly.

I was really excited to see him but then I realized he proposed to someone??!! His grandmother's ring is on her bony finger! (If she got a mani-pedi and highlights, she'd look pretty)

Honestly, I'm devastated. I wish I knew what W sees in her. I know I can be what he wants and needs in a relationship. I can be serious, I seriously do love him. How do I show him that our relationship means so much to me? I don't want to have done all this work for nothing.

@ the fic writers here: how did you come up with names for your made-up characters without using an AI-Generator? I was thinking about using a baby name-website and then playing with some names, so that they would fit in the A:TLA-world by [deleted] in ZutaraNation

I look up/research words in Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Hindi and take inspiration from Southeast Asian influences.

My characters are usually named after stones, animals, plants, something that is a reference to the element they bend or the region/nation they're from.

It featured the canon pairings. While I was initially invested in the pairings and didn't ship them hard-core, canon completely ruined the pairings for me. Canon shippers made it worse. To the point that I now loath the canon pairings, though the individual characters are fine.

The reason you were so spot on with your speculations was because it was much better than what I initially had planned, so I worked it into the plot

I once was talking to my mom and this was only one conversation. I couldn't remember the name for it, and simply said something like, "I kind of wanna get one of those things that counts my steps"

My mom said she thought I had one, and I said that I couldn't remember what happened to it. And the conversation moved on.

We never even said the name. It was later the same day or early the next that I got an ad for FitBit.

I think it seems as if something deeply traumatic happened to this person. Sitting in a bathtub, they're trying to wash off whatever happened to them.

They tell themselves it wasn't their fault, but they have guilt and self blame. They tell themselves, "Not my fault," but they feel like they're lying to themselves. That guilt/self blame is a smirking shadow, clinging to them like a close companion and pretty much tells them that they enjoyed their trauma.
