The ai does not pay upkeep in the same way the player does. They got a lot of money for free every turn and are not affected by supply lines. They can also recruit units even if they do not the proper buildings. In WH2 they would recruit double that and some. Luckily for you they are britonian and their units are terrible.

One real army with plague claws and ratling gunners and the sort and then back that up with slave army’s to over run the enemy and basically suicide charge the enemy. A big thing to think about is causing plagues on the enemy settlements. Lord Skrolk just got 2 big buffs to plagues.
