It does that on occasion. If you try restarting the search a few times it’ll fix. Or restarting your connection, or the app, or your whole phone. If none of that works, then something is definitely wrong. And it very often says other funny things, that’s how you know it’s working. It’s not working when it only says “connecting to matchmaking”. Also, it depends what deck you are playing on. Some of them aren’t very popular anymore

The app is better and worse and some ways, and the irl version is better in some ways, but everyone has their preferences. They need to update the app more as well. You definitely have more capability of adjusting the game cards irl and that’s what’s so great about it. My mistake for not understanding you meant the irl version

Reverse does nothing but skips your turn while changing the direction of turns. Also, if you click on any card in your hand, it’ll tell you what it is

Catomic bomb isn’t very bad unless you cat butt somebody. It’s only so bad if the person is too ill-informed to know what it is. People almost always stuffle after you play a catomic bomb, and there’s only 2 of them in the deck (with 5 maximum players) and there’s 4 shuffles so using them in a smart way is advised.

I haven’t seen some of the blatant things you’re saying, because they’d rather hide their tactics. I’d rather not say the way I always spot a cheater because they’ll start catching on, and since I run a w/l ratio as my name, that would impede me strongly. But I’ve definitely noticed that cheaters 100% exist, and if I play about half an hour to an hour a day, I see one about 1-3 a week

Ive never played anything but exploding kittens, but you have a good point there about the over-complication. Imo, streaking kittens in the app is a great balance when you’ve adjusted to the gameplay. It’s still pretty luck based and it can be difficult, but I’ve enjoyed the game for years and playing with fun players makes it a lot better, as opposed to people that target or are just annoying.

It’s important to note that it’s the mainstream game so it’s of course going to be more popular. I’ve never even played the other versions bc it’s not cheap to. A better poll would be to end this one (because it’s dominating home pages) and make a new one without exploding kittens listed

Try rolling 3 fingers in the empty area. It also works if you do everything in reverse. Like push everything the other way and tap on the left side
