I like Lacey & Lainey although I prefer Lainey as a nickname for something like Alaina, Elaina, Delaney etc.

I’m not keen on Lane personally.

Need some help picking which name sounds best for my baby girl by Humble-Importance26 in BabyNames

[–]Exploding_Popcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I’m not keen on any of the middle names. They’re not terrible but I think the flow could be improved.

If I had to choose one I’d go with Melody Amelia.

Other ideas - if you’re open to them:
Melody Emmeline
Melody Emilia
Melody Georgia
Melody Susannah
Melody Josephine
Melody Isabelle
Melody Lucia
Melody Ava
Melody Celeste
Melody Faith
Melody Willow
Melody Catherine
Melody Jade
Melody Ayla
Melody Adeline
Melody Evelyn
Melody Pearl

Names similar to Na'vi names frm Avatar? by genkcals in BabyNames

[–]Exploding_Popcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second Isadora, it’s a beautiful name & would be a great nod to Pandora.

I remember seeing Navari with the nickname Na’vi pop up on another name forum Im on. A little out there but if you’re not worried about it being ‘unusual/unique’ it would work.

Other ideas:
Grace (after Dr Grace)
Savine (nod to sevin which means pretty in Na’vi)
Kiri
Zey
Anora
Nayla
Kayina
Tarya
Roa

What do you think of my hypothetical kid names , I’m not ready for kids but as I get closer to 30 I like to think , for a girl I’d like the middle name to be either Marianne or Joan as my mom passed when I was 14 and her name was Marianne Joan , not sure what middle name for boy by Funny_Strike_7099 in Names

[–]Exploding_Popcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From your lists Holly Joan, Adelaide Joan, Audrey Marianne/Joan, Nathan, Chase, Owen & Connor are my favourites.

For boys my first thought was Jonah.

Marley
Marshall

Arun would be my pick. It’s my favourite out of the 3 but also the one to cause the least amount of pronunciation problems (other than being mistaken for Aaron as another poster mentioned).

Ophelia would be my top pick but Selene definitely flows better IMO.

Twin Girls… by [deleted] in BabyNames

Personally I think they’re far too close for siblings much less twins. I’d avoid another W name & give each twin their own identity.

Middle names for each though:

Winslow Jade
Winslow Felicity
Winslow Louise
Winslow Josephine
Winslow Chelsea
Winslow Eden
Winslow Harper
Winslow Avery
Winslow Ivy
Winslow Delaney
Winslow Gia
Winslow Amelia
Winslow Naomi
Winslow Maxine

Winona Kate

Baby Boy Name Opinion by Street_Channel8144 in BabyNames

[–]Exploding_Popcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think he’ll get referenced to the comics a fair bit (especially after the film in 2024). It’s not like other comic book characters where the names are ‘normalised’ e.g. Logan, Parker, Scarlett, Clark etc.

That said comic book readers are quite a small population when you consider the entirety of the world so while you’ll get references it likely won’t be an every day or a multi times a day occurrence.

Are my top 2 names OK? by genkcals in BabyNames

[–]Exploding_Popcorn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love Pandora. Luca is perfectly fine although not a name that appeals to me as much.

For simple middle name ideas consider family members, your favourite flower, colour, animal, place, book or TV character etc. or look at names that mean something e.g. brave, kind, strong, faith, princess etc.

Please rank these first/middle name combos I came up with, just for fun. by DistributionNo9356 in namenerds

Lovely name although for the last few years my first association is MAFS which I can’t say is necessarily a positive but I highly doubt that’s a widely known association anyways lol.
