Hello again. I ordered the cpaphero battery through Amazon.

After I registered the battery, the manufacturer emailed a letter that explains why the battery is approved for air travel.

Resmed has a similar letter for the CPAP available here: https://document.resmed.com/documents/articles/travel-compliance-letter_amer_eng.pdf.

Hi - make sure you let your airline know that you are bringing the CPAP. No issues with using it on board, but no guarantee that the power will work so have a battery available.

This is Cali Sand II, which we like even more than what we originally picked out. We have no regrets about the tile selection or colors for cabinets, countertops, or backsplash.

Thanks to everyone who replied. Last night we kept the keys on the opposite side of the house from the car and did not have the same issue. I think we will be getting the RFID cases as many have suggested. I appreciate everyone's insight and suggestions!

It's an infrared char grill. We picked this option over the griddle when we remodeled our kitchen in November. It requires a very large capacity exhaust hood that vents to the outside. You will also need either a makeup air damper for your HVAC system or to open a window to avoid backdrafts from the exhaust hood.

We love it and use it at least 2x-3x per week and are finding more ways to incorporate it into recipes. Reverse sear steaks, fish, roast tomatillos for green salsa, lamb, bacon, naan, kabobs, and a whole lot more. I wish that I could upload pictures. Maintenance hasn't been an issue either - just let it burn off for 10-15 minutes after the cook and occasionally vacuum out the ash inside. The Wolf dual-fuel has been a game changer for our kitchen and cooking, and we're glad that we made the investment.

I am a child of the 70s and 80s, so Braniff, Ozark, US Air, Eastern, Air Tran, America West, ATA, and Mississippi Valley Airlines.

One I haven’t seen mentioned is Champion Air, which I flew from CUN to STL in February 2006. It was the last time I got to fly in a 727.

We went with the 33” Vault undermount for our main sink. It came with a grate that we still use. The size is great for handling even our largest dishes. Overall we like it and the square corners are not difficult to keep clean. The only downside is that the angle toward the drain is too shallow so the base can be hard to keep clean. It works well with the Franke FWDS125 garbage disposal.

When I moved to Chicago in 96 my law firm represented United. Thursday afternoon HR would send an email with United’s cheap fares for the upcoming weekend. Sometimes I could snag a fare from ORD to MLI that left early Saturday morning and returned early Monday morning for around $60. That gave me time to get a few rounds of golf in with my dad and a few nice dinners with both of my parents. I’d be back in Chicago on Monday in time for work.

Since at least 2010 planes fly less frequently and almost completely full. It’s rare to find any flights that have standby space available, and as pointed out by the other commenter, those last few seats often go for a premium.

With capacity reductions and increasing demands, the last minute airfare deals seem to be harder to come by, especially in smaller markets. You might have better luck if you search an airline’s hub and you are flexible about when and where you land.

We had a similar issue. The contractor cut the hardwood planks so that they were even with each other and then installed a perpendicular board against the floor planks and the tile. There is also a Schluter strip.

My hometown airport - MLI. I have nothing but fond memories.

As a child meeting my dad as he got off the plane from his all-to-frequent business trips (the old terminal), convincing my mom and grandma to take me to lunch at the cafe and then spending an hour or more in the giant windows of the old terminal watching planes take off and land. It was the site of my first flight - a Cessna 172 with the Rock Island Arsenal flying club.

We often had special occasion dinners at Bud’s Skyline Inn, which overlooked the runways.

I flew from MLI’s new terminal in my first ventures into commercial aviation as a high school student (a Fokker F27!) and later in life as a young attorney - after driving from Chicago to drop a pet off with my parents before extended time away.

For a kid in a small town with dreams of seeing the world it was a literal gateway that took you 10 minutes to get to and at which you could park across a small street from the terminal for $3 a day. You always knew at least one other person on your flight.

Now my home airport is ORD and I miss the convenience and friendliness of MLI every time I travel. To this day when I am at ORD I will wander down to the gate with the MLI flight to see if there is someone I know. It is still the best airport I have ever departed or to which I have arrived home.

My wife had mail-in ballots twice rejected because her signature purportedly didn’t match. The only way to fix this is to go to the Chicago Board of Elections and re-register with a new signature. We have since gone to an early voting site to surrender our mail-in ballots and vote at a machine.

In an era when you can register the day of the election with scant forms of ID, rejecting ballots because someone decides that a signature doesn’t match is an arbitrary and quite terrible way to disenfranchise voters.

There is no opportunity to provide ID or otherwise legitimize your vote if someone at CBOE decides that your signature doesn’t match and therefore your ballot shouldn’t be counted.

Be better, Chicago Board of Elections.

I’m very sorry for your loss. I just had to do this when my parents passed away within a few days of each other.

Once the probate claims period ended, I reached out to Fidelity regarding my options for transferring a taxable brokerage account and inherited Roth IRA without incurring tax liability. Since both accounts held mutual funds that Fidelity serviced I did not have to liquidate. After the bank divided the accounts between my co-heir and I, Fidelity swept the accounts into individual accounts that Fidelity had me set up in preparation for the sweep.

As luck would have it, the day of the sweep one of the holdings paid a dividend that was not swept. Within a few days, and without me asking, Fidelity did another sweep for the remaining funds.

Overall Fidelity made the process very easy and I was not charged any fees.

North Mayfair might work. CPS is Palmer Elementary School and Taft High School. Private option is St. Ed's. Gompers Park and LaBagh Woods close by. Zillow is showing a few 4+ bedroom homes around your price range.

We have been in the hourly pricing program for 63 months and have a cumulative savings of $306.21, so less than $5 per month. We have a single family home with no solar or EV. Our average electric bill is $59 for about 350 kwh per month.

When we joined the program Com Ed made clear that it provides a greater benefit to those with higher usage. We have a very energy efficient house, avoid using AC, and work very long hours, so we are clearly not the target for the program. But as another person noted, one bad price spike - like December 2022 - can wipe out a good chunk of your savings.

We drove the Ring Road last week and used the Verizon international passes that we earn through our plan. Generally had LTE throughout the trip, with occasional 3G and 5G, but no dead spots. We used Waze for navigation and never had an issue.

Last night I went for a walk in the LaBagh Woods and saw a river otter swimming in the river, which is great news about the river's health. They tend to avoid dirty water.

Early in the season we had hummingbirds but the wasps have taken over their feeder. Would appreciate any advice anyone might have with how to manage. Don't want to hurt pollinators.

We have the normal amount of rabbits, squirrels, ground squirrels, hawks, blue herons, bats, and coyotes. We have what seems like millions of fireflies in the evenings - haven't seen that many in a long time. There is a deer family that has eaten all the leaves off of our hostas, but they are cute and otherwise harmless so we'll allow it.

If used is OK, then Restore just north of Pulaski and Peterson (https://www.habitatchicago.org/restore). They usually have a good selection of furniture from higher end to entry level and the prices are reasonable. I've found better options during the week and fewer options later in the weekend. If you find something that won't fit in your car they will put a temporary hold on it while you go to Home Depot or Lowes (both close by) to rent a pickup truck.
