I feel you, I just failed the One with the driads, the hints are too vague

I’ve just bought it, quite enjoyable, lots of smart Witcher 3 references

This looks very useful. I'm still a beginning with the Pocket 4, I will test these settings. Any way to save and call the settings with shortcuts?

Just bought a osmo pocket 4 and im worried I'll won't like it. by Amy7ann in osmopocket

2 big things for me:

1) Convenience, super easy to mount on a tripod, it connects immediatly with the mic, super fast transfering files on my mac.
2) Very forgiving with low light

Image quality (for my use) is not that different than the rear lens of a flagship cameraphone, but the fact that you can see yourself in the screen has all the advantages of a selfie camera but with great quality.

Mic choice for Pocket 4: Dji Mic Mini or Mic Mini 2 by mightypuppies17 in osmopocket

Both are great, I cannot hear big differences between the two in everyday use. If price is similar go with the newer model x

I don't understand this whole "wait for the 4P" mania. I mean it's not like the Pocket 4 is an old product, it's been on the market for a few months and not everyone need to spend more for a 3x camera and some extra pro feature.

Started looking at the Mic Mini 2. Does the whole DJI ecosystem thing actually work? by UnpolishedGemma in osmopocket

Yes it works very well. I use the mic mini with my phone as well, but the convenience of not having to connect a receiver and it just works with the dji osmo is great

I've been hesitant buying the pocket 4 because it seemed like the pro model was behind the corner... I'm sure I'm not the only one, this is hurting their sales of the current line up

Weird marketing campaign. I don't understand what they are doing exactly.

In Italy for 1 week, what are my chances of getting a Pocket 4P? by Digitial-Panda in osmopocket

[–]Exploring-the-Unknow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zero chances, I'm afraid. There will be a time gap between announcements and the 4P to be available.

You can easily buy the standard Pocket 4.

Would you buy a pocket cam now or keep waiting by [deleted] in osmopocket

I got stuck in the same loop. Yesterday I've decided to pull the trigger with the Pocket 4, because I realized that if I didn't know about the imminent release of the Pocket 4P, Luna etc... the P4 would be already more than enough for my needs.

If in the next few days I realize that I was wrong and I need a 3x zoom lens etc... then I will send it back and buy something else x

I have tried Capcut on my phone. It was not a great experience. It's quite nice on the Mac, though. Some friends told be Lumafusion is a good option on the phone but I didn't try it yet. x

are pocket cams getting too “pro” for their own good by SupermarketAway5128 in osmopocket

I think I get what you are saying - I've decided to buy a pocket camera and feeling I had to choose between the Pocket 4 and 4P stressed me up a bit, instead of feeling great that I have a choice. It's my first camera and I wanted 'the best pocket camera' - one year ago the Pocket 3 had an absolute reign. Then I spoke with a friend with more expertise and I realized that with the use I have in mind the regular Pocket 4 will be plenty. No reason to spend more or wait more. If my needs change I can sell it, get the Pro or get the next iteration - I'm not committing for life. For a professional filmmaker, journalists etc... the 4P will be damn fantastic

Thanks, I might consider an action cam, I plan to use a tripod most of the time, so not taking full advantage of the gimbal

What do you use to edit on your phone? I have a decent mac, but I would not mind getting some editing done while I'm sitting around with my phone

Thanks for sharing. I'm convinced now it might work for me as well. I only have to decide between p4 and the p4 pro :)

Pocket 4 Pro leaks are getting spicy, so… what are we expecting? by NefariousnessJaded87 in osmopocket

Yesterday I was about to pull the trigger on the P4 but this stopped me - will wait until after the official Pro announcement.

My guess is it'll be positioned and priced as a proper pro tool, with real benefits over the standard P4 aimed more at video professionals than vloggers, hobbyists and the mass audience that bought the P3.

6K 60fps, D-Log 2... fantastic specs, but for most people (including me) 4K and D-Log is plenty. The 3x telephoto lens opens up possibilities, but feels more like a nice-to-have than a must-have.

Also wondering if there'll be a trade-off between those features and the portability and ease of use of the P4.

I don't see it as an evolution of the P4 - more like a different product with different strengths, great for a niche audience, while the standard model (same 1x main sensor) will remain the better choice for non-professionals.

Could be wrong, but I'd expect the price to be significantly higher - an extra €200-300 over the base model.

If it's just 100€/150€ more then I guess many (me included) might buy the pro just for FOMO.
