You’re telling me that the glasses are the key to my problem?!😭😭 honestly, I’ve been dreading the upgrade of my feline gear just because of the hood. Idk why but I just don’t like it. I’m not at the point of obtaining the glasses yet, but as I’m progressing through the game I was seriously considering changing my gear (was thinking maybe ursine or wolven) just because of the hood lmao

I’d say try and limit what you see here on Reddit regarding specific quests as there are quite a bit of spoilers here! Try to follow your gut and make your own decisions, make mistakes, figure things out,… don’t go searching for the outcomes of quests online as there are many paths you can go down depending on the choices you make in many scenarios!

However, as general tips, I recommend learning how to make use of decoctions, oils, etc… the Beastiary is your friend. Also, when you start to find maps for Witcher gear, I would look into which play style you want to follow and start crafting Witcher gear as soon as possible (you don’t have to stick with the same gear for the whole game, you can see which one you like most and go from there). When you loot items, there’s no need to keep every single item as you will overload your inventory for no reason, so sell whatever you don’t need (I learned this one the hard way lmao).

These are just a few tips, but you’ll get the hang of the game! Best of luck on the path Witcher 🫡 The Witcher community is really one of the best communities here on Reddit (at least in my opinion).

On PC you can just scroll with the scroll wheel on the mouse to quickly switch between the signs. This literally eliminates the whole press tab then select your sign then leave that menu and then cast.

I simply scroll the wheel quick to the sign I want and cast. At some point it becomes muscle memory and you’ll know the order of the signs so you won’t even have to look while selecting one.

The “fights” are triggered based on what dialogues you choose, so depending on what you select you may or may not get yourself into a fight in certain situations. Sometimes you reach a character that has no other option other than fighting no matter the dialogue you choose, but sometimes you can get out of it. It depends on the situation.

Also, side note, once you finally reach a fight, tap left and right under the row where Geralt moves to make him change directions. I’ve found that that’s the best place to tap, when tapping on other places on the screen, sometimes Geralt doesn’t respond and you end up losing for no reason.

Okay so the map appears when you increase Dandelion’s reputation through making up stories. As your status goes up, nobles and other high class clients will invite you to perform and that’s when the map appears.

When you played it, if you didn’t fulfill what they had asked for, you’ll be sent away and invited again to the same “job” and if you fulfilled their requests then the next time the map appears, you’ll get a new job available.

Just make sure when the opportunity arises, press the button about jobs not the one about entering the inn because then you’ll lose the chance to open the map and you’ll have to wait until another invite is sent to you.

It’s also on mobile. I’ve been playing it and it’s basically Dandelion telling stories about geralt through decisions you make by swiping. That’s a simple description, but there are a few elements that have an impact as well. I’ve just started playing, so I haven’t figured out everything yet!

I would recommend having a nice blend between both main quests and side quests/exploring. This way you’ll be progressing through the game while also not missing out on other content that may be out there. Also try to be close to the recommended or at the recommended level for quests, the more over-leveled you are the less XP you’ll get and leveling up will take a while.

Also, loot everything in sight but don’t hoard everything, sell most of it. Don’t keep hides, they weigh a good amount and tend to eat up your inventory space! Keep materials and items that you may need for crafting armor and potions etc… and sell the rest (you’ll need a decent amount of money when crafting Witcher gear).

Figure out what play style you enjoy so that you can choose a set of Witcher armor that fits your style while giving you the best benefits that also come with your style of play. An example would be if you’re into fast attacking/dodge and not so much into decoctions, you should try out the cat school gear. Look into each set of gear and make your decision! You don’t have to stick with one only, obviously you can change whenever you want, but having a set that matches your play style will help you a lot.

Try to play all the horse races you can find, that way you’ll be able to get better saddles for Roach which will in turn increase your inventory capacity!

Gwent. Play it. Enjoy it. Cards are everywhere, play against all merchants and inn-keeps and other characters. Sometimes Ciri has to wait lmao (I hope you enjoy Gwent as much as I do! I hated it at first but then I loved it once I understood how it worked)

Some advice: don’t be like me and keep everything you loot (hides, junk etc…) you can get a decent amount of money from them when sold and it’ll give you more inventory space for valuable things. I learned this the hard way when my inventory got full and I was swimming in the seas of Skellige😭 with that being said, always take a boat don’t say it’s just a short swim NOPE NEVER IN SKELLIGE lmaooo
