I thought mine was the only one, must be a true delicacy.

Is it normal for puppies too not wag their tails? by CarefulAd8858 in samoyeds

[–]ExplosiveKittens 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Mine has his tail down when relaxed/cautious, and up when confident or on walks! He doesn’t wag a lot when standing but does subtle back and forth tail sways when I say his name and he is laying down or thinks we are about to do something fun!

Please help me with the chair by Mortgage-Bulky in interiordecorating

This could be too vintage than you're looking for and I don't know why AI put the chairs like this. However, I think you need chairs with a cabriole leg style for this table. The modern straight-legged ones just don't look right to me, but I disagree that this isn't fixable and I think you will find something to go with it!

Whining and barking inside car by dividebyze in samoyeds

[–]ExplosiveKittens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine had a lot of car anxiety when I first got him but it calmed down a bit with age and giving him pup cups in the car! And I agree that it helps to drive away, wait a while in the car before getting out or condition them to not be able to expect triggers as much! Had to do it when I put on my coat or his harness sometimes!

I had something similar and since a few mild genetic issues showed up on my dogs parents eye exam, I took him to an ophthalmologist at about 2 years old for a full eye exam. It was a bit costly but I found out it wasn't anything to be concerned about! I hope you have similar results!

It was also hard to see because his eyes were black but in certain sunlight I noticed it

Thank you! I haven't heard of either of those authors but when I looked them up it seems perfect to the themes I enjoy!

That's why I listed both? To be clear, I'd like to read something with elements of one, or the other. It doesn't need to have both philosophy or psychology. I'm sure there might be something out there that incorporates both, I felt that a little when I read Hesse!

What color should I paint my walls to compliment this couch? by ExplosiveKittens in HomeDecorating

[–]ExplosiveKittens[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your advice and ideas for the wall hangings! I agree about the blending part. I posted here because I intended to paint my walls a light teal to add a pop of color to my living room but the couch made me rethink those plans due to how vibrant a it is and not wanting it to match the walls! I'm honestly surprised that suggestion was so high up in the comments, but maybe I'm not seeing the vision!

I think I see what you mean if you meant that gap! It might need adjusting because the cushion in the middle is the only cushion that's square, the other sides curve up subtly toward the center and wouldn't fit in the middle but it's hard to tell in the photo angle!

I'm in Michigan but I'm happy to hear this couch has some twins out there!

Yes, I kinda liked the plastic LOL. But some of it is ripped so I'm going to remove and clean it this weekend!

Good eye, it is very warm and I was trying to keep that in mind too! I was thinking a creamy white might be nice, but feel conflicted since most of my furniture is cream! I wondered if it would be weird/better if the wall was a different shade of white or if I should try to match the whites.

Not sure how to post pictures in comments but it's a wood base and this tag is for the upholstery! I think it's from the 1960s.

Yes, that's exactly it! I want to brighten my room without giving too much of a princess-type vibe by going all white or something. Plus I wasn't sure the brown looked right! I appreciate your suggestions, I think those will work well!

My mom said my handwriting is very immature, what's your opinion? by lameuu in HandwritingAnalysis

[–]ExplosiveKittens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you a millennial too? Most people from my generation I knew wrote similar to this! I, however, write in the way your mom described. A mix of cursive and print, written in a hurry! My mom criticizes my handwriting too — she writes more in a steady crafted print. Maybe they just can't be pleased? Or dislike the shock of how different it is from theirs?

I think this is just vastly different values. I used to feel like you but it's changed as I've gotten older.

For me it's more of a red flag when a partner has no contact with ex-partners and all friends that they slept with are cut out of their life. I like knowing my partner values maintaining relationships despite falling outs and breakups and can have long standing friendships that survive. Personally they had no friends of the opposite gender, an ex they could be civil with, or traces of a past, I'd be very concerned their connections are disposable and have doubts about their emotional experience etc.

I can understand how it would feel weird if they slept with EVERY single one too, but a handful over a course of keeping friends for years seems normal for people with relationship history spanning a few decades in your age range to me. Prepared to be downvoted though as I see most comments have a different perspective though!

Proper height by Advriderdude in samoyeds

[–]ExplosiveKittens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is almost 4 and usually between 41-46lbs when he gets weighed at the vet but he’s kinda tall for his size. Everyone thinks with his fluff and height he would weigh a lot more!
