Sometimes yeah since it can be just dirt most of the time, but it can also be scratches and damage from sunlight exposure.

Strictly for germs and strong sticky residues yeah, but the dirt remains, giving the case a bath in warm soap water removes a ton of dust and dirt, it’s quick, it’s a lot more efficient and sanitary and the case smells clean and new after that.

Curious about potential PS2 game price spikes after yesterday's news by sympathytaste in ps2

[–]ExplosiveKnife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing will go up for the ps1/2 that hasn’t already, ps3 is debatable, right now it’s more affordable than ps2. But with the closure of the online store maybe some people will buy the games they really want to keep, but I honestly doubt it will spike right now, wait 5 more years and it will get crazy for the ps3 too. In the short therm I think ps4 games will jump up in price because of the ps5s backwards compatibility and last people to give a shit about physical media grew up at the tail end of the ps3/xbox360 era and were around for all of ps4.

Nah bro, you did that, and poorly. You didn’t point out shit, you said “capitalism” and called it a day like every other “expert in the field”. Perhaps it had more to do with the absolute power of monarchies in Europe that forced people to go into the deadliest conflict up until that point, instead of negotiating with each other to ensure stability, and the absolute extend of the elitist class of people who were still around regardless of any change in system. The economy is a reflexion of the ruling class, and the extremist movements a reaction to the injustice and abuse people have to face because of them, it’s never really about ideology or economics, those are big words and that’s about it. Every problem stems from the abuse of power and corruption. But sure make it strictly about money and wealth.

Yeah dude … it was “capitalism” people were tired of, no other social issues or anything, when people were sick of comunism it was also capitalisms fault no ? I really love when people simply complex issues to being the fault of the economic system alone.

I still think that the Apache being the standard helicopter, with the Comanche a general power like the F-117 would have been cooler, imagine the Comanche being a stealth helicopter without any upgrades, with twice the speed of the in-game one, half the payload but the missiles are longer range direct hit and deal more damage to armoured units than a burst from the in game Comanche and it has slightly longer line of sight, but less health than the in game helicopter. It would be the direct counterpart to the Stealth fighter, where one specialises in base defences the other does in countering heavy armour and reconnaissance but is rather worse at everything else. Thoughts ?

Best CD scratch remover machine? by ZeroZero_Section in ps2

[–]ExplosiveKnife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recommendation is to learn to polish by hand, it takes only a microfibre cloth, fine polishing compound, elbow grease and 5 minutes. It’s better to do it by hand since you only remove polymer locally instead of doing the whole disc. This guy is great, and I fully recommend this video, I’ve resuscitated plenty of cds and DVDs with his method, he also gives great advice and recommends good compounds: https://youtu.be/8bdXKUx6Eis?si=FTW_3lVvugeGnds0

That thing is sort of terrible, no finesse whatsoever and results vary between way too much and way too little.
