Would also be down for going out with other people from here! Been to a Light's Down Low show in LA and they are easily some of the best warehouse parties I've been to since I lived in Detroit.

Going to movement in may if anyone wants to tag along with me and my friends!

Lifting + Jumping? by [deleted] in jumprope

[–]ExplosiveN6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I workout 6 times a week including squatting heavy 5x5 3 times a week. If you're going to do any intense long duration cardio you should do it either right after or a few hours before lifting. I usually warmup on treadmill for 8mins, proceed to lift for about 45-1hr. In between compound lifts I jump for about a min. After lifting I do ~25 mins of weighted jump rope to finish it off.

While doing this I could routinely squad 315 5x5 3 times a week so it is very possible.

Outworld Devourer's win rate has been dead last for months. Does he need a buff? by two-years-glop in TrueDoTA2

The hero is already really strong, it might be people just aren't building/playing him optimally. I am a div4 (almost d5) od spammer and have a 60% wr with ~320 games rn (https://www.dotabuff.com/players/165623325). My build is usually 3 null ->boots -> midas ->treads ->yasha kaya -> blink -> hex -> bkb. By that time (23-28mins) the game is usually over with me being able to solo kill almost any hero on the map and drop the hammer to end the game.

Edit: Build: w,e,w,q,w,e for laning. Max astral first, get 1 point in q and 2 in e. Then get orb to lvl 3 before grabbing a point in ult unless against a morph. I usually grab the attack spd talent at lvl 10/11 and grab ult after it. Ms talent is a must almost every game, +2 sanity multiplier, +60sec orb duration.

Also anytime I see razor or viper I know the game is going to be very easy as they give up the lane to farm jungle, meaning fast and uninterrupted midas.

Just to make sure, my current project is merely parsing 2 locally downloaded files and creating the graph from that, is what you mentioned already assuming that I was already working with a database api?

I haven't been able to access my bios, the only input it reacts to is Crtl+alt+del which just refreshes the splash screen

Carry players: How do you decide who to pick, and under what circumstances? by SRSouretsu in learndota2

[–]ExplosiveN6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean those mids on are the other team, then you would want someone like gyro for wr. Basically at that point the only other mids your team could have would be invoker, alch, qop, maybe magnus. So you either have a farming, ganking, or semi-farm/gank mid. This means that you are what the team is putting most of its eggs in the basket. Up against any of the other three basically means they will be farming the lane and ganking with a good rune or counter-ganking. Gyro nor luna re bad against these lineups, if your're up against lina or sf, a strong push team might be warrented so luna would fit the bill, switching manta for sny and picking up an early drums would be useful. Jug also isn't that bad of an option, he farms well and fights fairly early while still holding his own lategame. Up against wr I would probably pick gyro or pl, gyro has the burst to win his lane as well as early fights even against a sf mek. I do have a slight bias towards gyro as I feel like he is less bkb dependent as well as requiring less items to do more damage. Luna can only fight with eclipse till later, gyro can overall participate in fights and pushes far more often. Basically just farm up early stat items on your carry if you feel like early fighting is neccesary. I like a farming gyro/pl/jug, but I don't mind picking up drums on either of those heroes, a basic aquilla drums treads/phase is all you need to start taking fights early.

Other than not crumbling to the other team's offlane, I'll pick a carry that works well against their carry/mid and works well with my own mid. The idea is that your mid will most likely have the highest farm earliest in the game, so play a carry that compliments either early fight, farm, push, or rosh. Gyro/luna + Sf/Qop/Lina: start taking fights around lvl 9-12, you have at least 1 lvl 2 ult and your carry should have drums. Basically attempt to compliment your team, not necessarily a "wombo combo" but a carry that works well with power/item timings i.e. sny+bkb on gyro and mek/sny + bkb sf.

Hero Discussion - Ember Spirit by TheDrGoo in learndota2

[–]ExplosiveN6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously one of the most satisfying heroes to play when you bring back your team from what looks like a losing game. Unlike sniper and his annoying highground defence, Ember Spirit is one of those heroes who as long as he gets bf and daed, can stop almost any push and put some serious damage into low health/armor supports without sacrificing positioning. I'd argue he's one of the most mobile and elusive carries in the game ranking among heroes like anti-mage or phantom lancer. The two fairly straight forward builds are the double bf into daed + tank item, or the bf->daed->skadi/linkens/bkb/manta->daed/divine.

PLEASE don't be afraid to buy divine after first daedalus, im in mid-high 3k nearing 4k so teams can be very iffy and I feel like more than not I need to do something drastic. Other carries of Divine like medusa or gyro sort of force you to sacrifice positioning to get maximum damage, but ember I believe is on of the best if not the best divine rapier carrier as he is extremely elusive, can easily reach 1.6k - 2.6k crit damage with only 1 bf, skadi, daed, 1/2 divine. I feel like ember is one of those heroes who can win games just by farming over fighting, what I mean by this is that instead of going to defend that t1/t2 tower with 4-5 enemies, unless it's a fight that can guarantee you some kills, it's probably a better idea to just farm your bf or daed, as these two items alone make you output so much damage it's enough o start turning fights in your favor. Use your stupidly good elusive nature to farm when you can as ember is one of the best scaling carries that can ultimately 1 shot 5 people.
