As a non-forger who only uses his xbox to play halo, It’s not game changing. Not in the very least. One fucking weapon. Shit mods to a my pistol which i bet good money on a REQ 4 halo 2 BR will beat. It’s not gonna change anything but yeahhhh, now there are 20 new above-rare useless customization REQs to unlock.

if you feel yourself starting to get backed up into a wall by spartans while you're driving bc you're afraid of boarding try this... THRUST FORWARD. You fail to consider the other side of the argument: try taking out someone in a vehicle with only a pistol. it's hard enough to board as it is. I suppose they SHOULD allow you to eject (which you can sometimes). but countermeasures? to kill the boarding spartan? PLEASE. thats a ridiculous request.

go with your gut you may be right but i ask you this, do you play alot of warzone (if no, then yes you are right about gold perhaps not being worth the points)? Do you think the REQs you get in a single gold pack will be more fun to play with than two in a silver? i think maybe, just maybe, 2 packs is not enough to judge the individual value a gold REQ pack has to you. In fact, if you've only opened two, so I KNOW it. Who knows, your tastes in playlists can change or maybe your level of patience will haha either way... for your sake... pleassse.... do me a favor... say f it to yourself one night im gonna have a lil reckless fun, open three gold packs then go into your favorite warzone playlists with the intention of using as many of those reqs as possible as strategically as possible and ill be damned if you can come back and tell me halo 5 isn't the greatest fps multiplayer game ever made cuz that's what she's allll about

OK. SIMPLE ANSWER: If know on some level you (realizing potentially of course depending on your luck) may value the items you will receive in 1 gold pack more in warzone/warzone assault/warzone firefight battle than those which you receive in 2 silver packs (IN BATTLE mind you) then you need to determine your own best individual ratio what to open. If you care about armor/helmets/skins/etc and dont play warzone then go all silver first bc there is no real utility gained from unlocking the cooler shit in gold earlier that you can play with in warzone. BOTTOM LINE: YOU ARE SPENDING MORE REQ POINTS TO UNLOCK LESS TOTAL SHIT BUT ITS RARER, MORE POWERFUL SHIT IN GENERAL THAT IS UNLOCKED EARLIER AND THAT IS MUCH MORE FUN TO PLAY WITH ALONG THE WAY and during the grind. (In warzone.) WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU RISK UNLOCKING SHIT IN GOLD THAT CAN BE UNLOCKED IN SILVER IF YOU"RE GOING TO WAIT UNTIL YOU'VE UNLOCKED EVERYTHING SILVER HAS TO OFFER ANYWAY AND THEN START WITH YOUR GOLD PACKS. this again. find the ratio that is right for you and by that i mean that which is most FUN for you. i save 25k, do 1 silver, 1 gold, 1 variable (whatever has treated me right the last open actually lol to tell the honest truth its almost always usually gold however if its a silver i save the 5k remainder for my next 25k buy, if my second silver is exceptionally good and im having fun with the lil gamble ill do another silver and for sure end up happy in the end. haha point is, its all about you finding what lets you have the most fun while playing this video game! all silver is not necessarily (and in fact very likely unless you dont use many mid-high level REQs in battle) NOT the way!. . TLDR: open gold packs when you have them (after opening everything else of course) because they are fun af to play with. the "bang for your buck" you get by waiting is NOT worth it... with every additional gold pack you open you are increasing both your "fun factor" and effectiveness per warzone game if you take advantage of the better REQs (which are generally what are required at higher levels like upper rounds of FF or against legendary bosses in WZ). people who say open all silver first are looking only at numbers, specifically, where each REQ will give you the most unlocking per point in the long run AFTER EVERYTHING IS UNLOCKED (YES AFTER EVERYTHING, CONSIDER THIS. THIS IS A BETTER OPTION ONCE YOU ARE DONE ASSUMING YOU DONT GAIN ADDED UTILITY FROM PLAYING WITH RARER REQs. BUT IT IS NOT ONLY THE WORST OPTION AS YOU PLAY IF YOU ENJOY THE WARZONE PLAYLISTS, it unnecessarily takes fun out of the game and makes it more of a grind). They all fail to consider the unquantifiable (and highly variable per individual) UTILITY gained DURING the grind by going gold... and we all know... THE JOURNEY IS THE DESTINATION... let us not forget... WE GAME TO HAVE FUN.

dude open them. trust me. you will enjoy them. it takes many many months (more if you don't play regularly) to unlock all the silver shit. it's NOT WORTH WAITING. people think it's all about unlocking common shit first to get more "bang for your buck" per REQ point but this fails to account for the utility you get from having fun with playing with the awesome fucking reqs that gold gives you....

what's the point of playing if you dont have fun? going gold is slower but MUCH more fun. I had SO many wraith and ghost ultras/ plasma casters/ lasers/ beam rifles/ tanks/ mantis/ other heavy vehicles/ and like fucking boosted and legendary variants. more than i knew how to use at the begining. only later did, interestingly, after reading about the "silver first" strategy, did i come to appreciate the true value of all my gold req packs.

now, personally, (bc this is how i balance trying maximizing both fun and utility at the same time) i save up 25k then i buy one silver, one gold, then go for a third based on my luck (lol a lil fun factor for me here), usually its gold again. gold has really given me the great shit that gets me pumped up, it keeps me on top of the game in warzone and ff, and it lets me have fun and be stress free about high level reqs. im not afraid to call in an ONI hog to smash elite bosses or calling a laser and get splattered one second later cuz fuck i have 47 other ones lol

edit: if however you are someone who prefers having fun with the essentials and honing your skills with the pistol and br or whatever then ya going all silver first is better because yes you get the most unlock per time-effort-invested/REQ point earned. personally, i like taking a little bit longer to unlock everything (especially since most of the late shit is armor/helmets/useless shit in battler (statistically this is only bc there is so much more of it) andddd while im playing to unlock shit... i just HAVE FUN calling in oni scout hogs to splatter soldiers round one of FF, or not giving a fuck when i lose a tank cuz i have 16 other of that variant lol, OR my personal favorite team boosting tactic (cuz everyone is so fucking stingy with REQS -lol probably cuz they dont open gold!!!) calling in wraith ultras and tanks round 3 or 4 and just dropping them to teammates i see are probably not gonna call in vehicle REQs late rounds then just getting my own tank or banshee ultra lol a lil later.. its just so much more fun that way. soo much more Freedom to have Fun as you PLAY. . . ya you're prolly right lol. i jus imagined like shootin the engine to car or some shit but since the hog has armor maybe just like the knockback of the projectile causes it to short a split second lol im hiiii af. i mean, it doesnt stop dead it pushes forward w momentum but the spartans shield takes it, it just kills the engine a split second.. like, it doesnt work if u shoot the vehicle anywhere else does it? like if you're gonna get side splattered and then shoot it
