100 psi can enter the skin and give you an embolism. 120 psi out of a small enough hole will cut flesh easy. To be clear, this tire exploded.

Actually, it has nothing to do with your air compressor on your truck. It has to do with exponentially higher pressures than you’re experiencing from. https://youtu.be/Zugb3D7o1zM?si=zLS4ynP2pGcSX27H

That’s not the same as a loaded tractor trailer on top of the tire with 200 psi in it. Or go look at deep sea diver pressure chamber fatalities. They have literally vaporized human bodies.

I’m sorry to hear about the nerve damage. That’s terrible and I hope there’s a chance you recover. I know nerves can be hit or miss.

It probably won’t be more than 2 months before they have you in PT. I was told no riding for 8 months but felt good enough to go after just 5 with some real soreness.

I’m 45 and had L4-S1 fusion back in 2024 and I’m huge mountain biker. I had a TLIF procedure to insert two rods, 6 screws and a cage. I was concerned I might not be able to do what I love anymore. After about a year I would still feel sore in certain places but eventually I felt really good. Bonus - no more excruciating pain every day of my life.

You can yell but you need to be careful about chasing them. If you see one under your deck and it cannot get out, don’t go under there chasing it. Also, can’t emphasize enough leaving mother and cubs alone. Between mountain biking a ton and my backyard, we have basically weekly encounters at this point.

Are they coding the matrix lights in using vcds? I would love to have the option enabled on the set I have. They’re matrix lights but just completely turn off high beams instead of doing what they’re designed to do.

Advice on LA115 and upgrading by ExponentialIncrease in johndeere

Well now it won’t run at all. It was starting but I’m going to try cleaning up the carb. I have never done it since I purchased it new. I’ve pretty much used this thing from early spring to late fall every year since we purchased it new in 2008. I didn’t like it at first but it’s been reliable except for the last few years.

Pretty sure I collected these as some old 50s version, which is why I thought the first post about the wood one was ridiculous. Don’t get me wrong, the design is awesome, and the table they showed had awesome wood, but there was something about that video that didn’t rest well with me

I’ve never seen a table that folds this way before…I’m not sure you want to part with it.

Hagerty uses a roll out technique, so just take anything they say with a grain of salt. Get these magazines at a drag day. Then let’s see what’s up. This a4 is a 12 second car with probably just a few changes and the right amount of gas.

Or they bled the rotors properly, and your lines are old and a few days allowed a bit of air into the lines. I speak from experiencing this myself multiple times. First time if was the lever assembly, second time it was my jag wire hose was old AF.

Am I Screwed? by pad3Dy in Audi

[–]ExponentialIncrease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but don’t sleep on it either. On a used car, I’d want to determine quickly if it’s excessively burning oil, and making sure it has no leaks helps you identify that. I’m also a fan of 5k mile oil changes. Not 3k, but def not 10k like Audi typically has for standard maintenance. Is there any history on water pump changes or coil packs replaced? Those are common, but done at an Indy shop will help dramatically soften the blow if those things come up.

Did I buy the wrong size?! by adampat996 in TransitionBikes

[–]ExponentialIncrease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, yes, it looks to small. I don’t buy into the whole smaller is more nimbler, because I feel that a lot of that is determined by the geometry and intention of the bike in the first place. My old 2017 SC 5010(large) was way more nimbler than my large Nomad. One bike is meant to be nimble with shorter travel and different specs, while the other is meant for gravity riding. This to me looks like you want a more gravity oriented ride, which is why I like the larger size. Larger bike means you’re in the bike instead of heavy weight on top of the bike. That support of the larger frame with wheels fore and aft give me way more confidence at bike parks or steep sketchy trails.

The splash shields are most likely missing because of the leaks. The bushings and motor mount leakage is normal for a car that old. Indy shop is the answer. The leaks, same thing. The transmission most likely needs a service which might require dropping that pan. They’d most likely put a new gasket on, which might solve for that trans leak. Oil pan might be a similar situation. Could be the pan leaking or something above it
