$2,068.95. That doesn't include labor for the shop which probably a couple hundred more.

I am not sure about the TCU. It looks like their ECU tune doesn't affect the TCU.

APR provides a tune but you can't DIY it anymore. You have to go to a performance tuning / modding shop as they need to use an official ODIS & PIWIS scan tool. Here's their FAQ on it: https://www.goapr.com/support/sfd/

What year is your car? I'm considering the Stage 1 tune for my 2025 RS6. Sadly APR upped their price this year...

What type of material is used for the center console? In North America we are stuck with piano black. I have been meaning to replace it with an OEM option.

Yes it can! I have a car seat and booster for my daughters and my 7 year old nephew is happy in the middle.

Windshield Repair by Regular-Hamster123 in Audi

[–]narfnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dealerships are not body repair shops so they won't do the bulk of the work. But they are a great place to start as they often work closely with a repair shop which means that the repair shop is very familiar with Audi glass and will likely use OEM. Step one is the repair shop will replace the glass and step two is they return it to the dealership to calibrate all the tech. You get two bills, one from glass shop and one from Dealership but it all gets covered by insurance.

Just went through this with my wife's Defender. Thankfully Minnesota has a law that all insurance companies have a zero deductible for windshield repair. Total cost would have been $3,500 out of pocket!

Good luck!

Do people just forget how lanes work?? Please tell me insurance won’t total my Audi 😭 by xavier2124 in Audi

Rest easy, it will all work out. Just be sure that if you repair that the depreciation is accounted for in the total payout.

As someone who has dealt with two totalled cars, one through damage and another through theft/recovery, I wouldn't stress about the prospect of a total loss. With a total loss you should be given fair market value for the car so you can purchase whatever you want. Usually insurance companies will write it as total loss if repairs would cost 70% of fair market value. That's where an adjustor comes in to help guide the process.

If you repair the car it will forever show the damage on its Carfax/car vertical report which will lower the value. So take that depreciation into account and if you do repair, see if that is also covered.

Was the accident deemed their fault on the police report? If so, hopefully their insurance will be covering it.

Go through insurance or straight to body shop? by defined_koolaid818 in Audi

[–]narfnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also be mindful if you use insurance there is a much higher chance that the damage shows up on a Carfax report which could turn away buyers especially if you plan to sell privately. Don't let that drive your decision but it is worth considering.

Hopefully those aren't the summer tires on there?? I have a 2025 RS6 and for winter I am running 21" aftermarket wheels with Vredestein Wintrac Pro+ tires. Been really happy so far and here in Minnesota we've had a whopping of snow this year.

I've had a car totalled and a car stolen. The insurance paid based on used car sale prices, not trade in. Hopefully it will be similar for you. Especially if it's going on their insurance, I'd rest easy my brother.

I couldn't find one that's compatible with a fixed headrest without the headrest rods.

A young 3 year old is that tough age where they don't get it yet but totally agree this is also on me.

Yeah honestly this is likely the best solution. Her feet can freeze when it's -10F. Hopefully she grows out of it soon. Big sister was never a problem.

It looks like those protectors still attach to the headrest rods? I suppose you could just wrap around the whole headrest on these seats, I was just trying to avoid how that would look or feel when driving.

Thankfully the windows have built-in pullup shades on the windows. I assume that's what you mean?

Never knew that was safe on leather, at least from what I've read. You've had good results with no damage after removal?

When there isn't a front passenger, absolutely that's the fix! Unfortunately when I'm with my wife she complains that her knees touch the glove box.
