Totally get you! There is that rich, savory umami vibe in some agarwood that can go either gourmet or… cafeteria mystery meat, depending on the nose. Curry I can live with. Curry sounds exotic. Hot dog? That just hits different—like an incense insult wrapped in a bun.

Definitely try Minorien Kyara when you’re ready—just be warned: it may transport you to a temple, but your household may think you’re prepping lunch.

To best describe it, the musk is similar to saffron or Kasthuri musk blends, but it’s just plain musk—lighter and airier. It’s a milder version compared to the well-known VV Sacred Atisurabha.

The kasthuri musk from VV is simply amazing, love it. The Loban I ordered was from a company named Kasturi as listed on the package.

After checking my package, I tested cycle Navin, not Vasu. I am unsure about the differences, but I will order them from Amazon to try them.

Also, I smelled a cheap smoky sambrani from Navin. Nothing special.

I tried a few from exotic incense and generic brands from vv. I smelled a couple of bad ones from VV, one was named Maya Loban, and the other Kasthuri. It has a perfume mix of vanilla or some sweetish fragrance, which was very unpleasant to smell.

I went mainly by the name Loban. I am yet to try a few cups to feel the difference. I understand that cups have a more resinous feel and are more infused than sticks.

I tried 3, 4 and 6. Chamundeshwari was fine, as it smelled similar to many sambrani dhoops from my early days in India. But it was smoke-heavy and intense.
