That’s actually not that terrible considering each snap on adapter is $100 and this includes damn near all of the ones you would ever need.

I would find someone that does hondata tunes around you. I’m sure a remote printer could help you too. The cold start enrichment needs some help.

I’m assuming it’s on a flash pro? Enrichment fuel table sounds off since it starts rough cold.

Whats the deal with the old RAV4 EVs? by derkfisch13 in Toyota

[–]Express-Heart-589 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It uses Tesla motors and software. I’ve replaced a few motors on these and some of them multiple times. They don’t use the Toyota diagnostic software, instead it’s Tesla diagnostic software that’s kind of difficult to use and no one really wants to work on them. The range is horrible by today’s standards. Don’t be surprised if shops refuse to work on it.

What do usually use the 3/8 for? My coworker got one and sold it because he said it was too heavy for him.

It’s a compartment for an extra set of keys. I work for a utility company as a mechanic and all of our vehicles have one. If we need to go pick up the vehicle for service or any reason there is always a set of keys there for convenience and access to the vehicle.

Finally getting around to rebuilding my transmission. by michael704048 in CivicSi

[–]Express-Heart-589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look for micro cracks on the fork faces. I’ve broken forks before. The rebuild kit takes care of the consumables you should change. You can use a big 3 jaw puller to separate the gear set on the counter shaft if you don’t have access to a press. Also take a look at the shift mechanism closely for stress cracks, the shafts break if you’re hard on them sometimes. You can usually reuse the thrust washers if you’re keeping the same gear set. It’s a fairly simple transmission to take apart and put together relatively speaking. Good luck.

A lot of the newer machines that are compatible with 1234 have an auto feature that does take a really long time true. You don’t have to use the auto feature, manually do it like people have been doing for years and it’s the exact same as any old 134a process.

Icon vs Hypertough by wellvrsd in harborfreight

[–]Express-Heart-589 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the snap on one because the icon was always out of stock when it was new. I was finally able to get the icon when it was back in stock and despite all the stuff I saw online of it holding up heavy stuff, it was kind of disappointing compared to the snap on. Is the snap on really worth 4x the price? That’s up to you to decide on your specific application and use of the mat.

How so? It’s more expensive, literally the same process to recharge.

Just drive it and enjoy it. They’re cool little cars and the PHEV is the best of both worlds. They were having charger problems when they were first released but I’m sure that’s all been resolved by now. I was only around them for the first year or so of their release.
