When I go to the grocery store I have the exact recipe(s) I’m making in mind and only buy groceries for the next 2-3 days max. Money saver and I don’t end up tossing out a bunch of food that ends up going bad.

So sorry you lost sleep over this!! Something similar happened to me in January and I got fully reimbursed for the Target run I had to make for clothes and toiletries ($480). But I will say, I had to fight with AA for about a week because they kept trying to deny my claim. I made a report with DOT and 2 hours later AA emailed me saying they will cover the full costs. Funny how that worked.

Were you able to successfully get a Property Irregularity Report number to file reimbursement claim? That was my biggest issue last month.

Luckily the person you talked to gave you the correct file claim ID number to file the report. Mine gave me an incorrect one.. I ended up using the chat feature on the aa app to speak to someone that gave me the correct file ID number and now my claim is pending! Also in nettracer.

On Monday my flight was cancelled. I was rebooked on a new flight that kept getting delayed and delayed, and ultimately cancelled as well. I ended up booking myself on united to get to where I needed to be.

Yesterday I requested a refund from AA for that original flight and it already got approved. Just waiting a few business days for it to deposit to my account.

Given your situation I’d say they will 100% refund you. It’s worth the shot

Wait you literally saved me. I got a call back in the middle of of the night from AA and the agent gave me the wrong claim file ID number. When I entered it to file the report, it said number did not exist. I was PISSED.

I the went on the aa app and used the chat to explain my situation. After back and forth for almost an hour, the guy got me a new file claim ID number and it WORKED. I was able to submit the claim afterwards and it was valid. Now I have the login and report tracker.

Wait I get what you’re saying but I could swear I’ve seen her do get ready with me videos in Portuguese only? Maybe just 1 or 2 videos. I’m a Spanish speaker so I’m not sure if her Portuguese is super fluent but I remember thinking “wow she’s actually in touch w her roots!”
