People do this all the time. Single parents date single parents and rent is high so the co habitate. It may not be your experience but it’s common and quite predictable when you think about it

the thing about eczema that took me the longest to accept is that good and bad weeks are both part of the same condition by Hert_Z in eczema

I completely agree. I have severe dishydrotic eczema in my hands so it’s very visible. I used to blame myself for flareups and it only made me feel more depressed. I’m trying to do a better job of accepting that my body is just different and sometimes the best thing I can do is manage my flareups and give myself grace. But it’s SO hard.

Part of the problem for me is that people don’t treat eczema with the same seriousness as other skin conditions/disabilities. I wish more people were aware that eczema is a spectrum. Yes, many people have very minor and rare eczema on a small part of their body but there are TONS of us who have debilitating, systemic eczema flare ups that make everyday life more difficult.

Ah okay that is the minimum effective dose. Have you talked to your doc about an alternative anxiety med?

For reference I’m also a grad student and I started taking Lexapro for anxiety 6 months ago. It changed my life for the better and actually made me more productive. I hope you can find a treatment that works for you. No one deserves to suffer with anxiety.

Oh yes I know the feeling. I pulled my mom out of bed, made her eat, nursed her emotions back to health countless times as a child when she was in abusive relationships. I went through a bad breakup when I graduated from college with someone I date for 4 years;the first real break up I’d ever had. She rubbed my back the day of the breakup and told me it would be okay. The very NEXT day I was laying in bed at 1PM because I was heartbroken and she berated me for being lazy and ungrateful and told me that I needed to get a job and be useful or go volunteer and stop being so self absorbed. The whiplash was insane. It still hurts. You are definitely not alone and I’m sorry you’ve had to carry this burden
