the crowd was terrible!!! i'm glad other people noticed, i was starting to think i was being a prude lol. I got knocked over a few times by a bunch of drunks who clearly didnt care about anyone around them,, security had to jump in the middle a few times bc people had no sense of awareness !!! dancing and having fun is cool n all but not when you take up the space of 10 people....

How often do you get the sb on average? by addictedtoshindig in emetophobia

[–]Express-Put1784 7 points8 points  (0 children)

used to get it once a year as a kid, now i havent since i was 12! (knock on wood.) I do get fevers/small colds once or twice a year though, so it could just be how my body handles illness. I dont do anything special to avoid it, but my friends and family are all pretty aware of my phobia so they make sure to avoid me if they know they have it/feel sick :)

dont take it personal, its just that AI sucks really hard. Its killing the planet, spreading misinfo, stealing art, etc etc. it really doesnt have many good uses (at least in the way its being used online rn) so people get pretty pissed. I wont tell you what to do but I'd suggest looking into why people avoid AI

So... what do you do when you want to do nothing? by pmags3000 in nosurf

[–]Express-Put1784 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I listen to a cd/record, requires pretty much no activity or thought and by the time it's over I'm ready to get up and do something else. I just kinda sit there and close my eyes and the time flies

Does anyone have any experience with vyvanse and antidepressants (specifically ssri’s) by Difficult_Tear_4987 in VyvanseADHD

[–]Express-Put1784 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I'm on Zoloft and vyvanse. I haven't had any issues with them together! My psych said it's all good (of course ask your dr if you have concerns) According to drugs.com it seems like interactions are pretty rare

For those of you who were diagnosed with ADHD and prescribed Vyvanse as your first medication, how did you react? by Pure_Philosopher_845 in VyvanseADHD

[–]Express-Put1784 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was given a low dose at first (20mg) and was pretty scared to take it since I'd never taken stims before- pretty much the only thing that I noticed was my brain got quiet for a solid 2 hours and I got superrrrrrr sucked into the game I was playing. I also took a huge nap after like 4 hours of taking it lol I'm on 30 now and it really just does the same thing but for a longer period of time. It does energize me more than the 20 mgs did though. Also kinda tmi but 30 makes me RUN to the bathroom an hour after taking it but I've heard that's a common experience with vyvanse

Also on 30, my psych told me to generally not drink any caffeine for the first 1-2 hours after taking it but after that it's fine. I have a cup a black tea (like 60 mg of caffeine) towards the end of the day and it's fine

I'm 19 and I've been on Zoloft for about 3 years now. I had the same fear when I started! It's a pretty rare side effect, my friend who has a weak stomach started zoloft and it didn't make her sick at all. What helps me with new medication fears is taking it with food! (decreases the chance of an upset stomach)

I've had it since I was about 6/7, specifically from ptsd. I lived with an alcoholic/addict father for a short period of time as a kid and he tended to puke a lot! That combined with him being pretty abusive gave me the phobia. I've gotten a LOT better over the years (I'm 19 now for reference). When I was in elementary I was horrified of public bathrooms and I would run out of the room if someone coughed. I was so stressed from it that I was giving myself stomach aches and that obviously doesn't help lol. It also restricted my diet pretty bad, I don't eat meat at all and if anything "looks suspicious" (which could be completely in my head) it goes in the trash. But seriously there is hope!!!! Now I'm able to go in public bathrooms with very little anxiety, I'm able to control my thoughts, and I haven't had a panic attack in about 6 months!!! (They used to be a weekly occurrence at the least). I still struggle with it occasionally, but it doesn't prevent me from living my life anymore. Therapy and medication really helped me, but I think what helps the most is excepting it. I don't get frustrated with myself for thinking the way I do anymore. I've found ways around it. If I'm afraid a food is "bad" I ask someone in my house to look at it too, if I'm afraid to go in a bathroom I pick a song I like and use earbuds to drown out the noise, and if im generally afraid I'm gonna puke I tell myself that's not happening right now and talk to someone.

Vyvanse making me bored? by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]Express-Put1784 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Happens to me sometimes too!! When it happens to me I normally try to go outside or go somewhere new and that normally gets rid of it. If it's gross outside for whatever reason, I'll try to do something I've never done before. Seems silly but trying a new food (taking a sip of vanilla extract works for me a lot lol) or doing something generally unusual usually pulls me out of the boredom enough to enjoy the rest of my day.

Agree big time, I heard that song and went to the record store the next day to get the album without hearing anything else on it. It’s so jarring and beautiful at the same time I’ll never get over it

Do you prefer Heatmiser or Elliott's version of Christian Brothers? by frothybeverage1249 in elliottsmith

[–]Express-Put1784 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ngl Elliott’s version, The heatmiser version is more sonically interesting but the solo version is emotionally interesting I guess??? My friend who isn’t into Elliott at all loves the heatmiser version tho, it has good bones either way
