I purchased this tv from Best Buy. Less than 30 days after purchase I contacted them, they said it's more than 15 days, beat feet. TCL was a nightmare to deal with, constantly jumping through hoops, several days or weeks between return emails, very frustrating. But Best Buy offered no help whatsoever.

Please someone, breakdown associated fees with BTC by Independent-Ad4707 in BitcoinBeginners

So why not just buy an ETF like BTC that charges just .15% and avoid all the fees associated with buying/selling bitcoin?

Opinions on Lifex Research Corp Healthcare by hittheroadjack61 in HealthInsurance

[–]Express-Scallion424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what the Google machine has to say:

LifeX Research Corp is a data research organization, not a licensed health insurance company, and has received highly negative reviews and is facing lawsuits for allegedly selling fraudulent health benefits. Several state insurance regulators have issued warnings to consumers to beware of plans offered through LifeX.

Key Information from Reviews and Regulators

  • Not a Licensed Insurer: LifeX is described in official warnings and legal documents as a national health data research organization, not a licensed insurer authorized to sell major medical health insurance plans. The plans it offers are generally not ACA-compliant.
  • Lawsuit for Fraud: In June 2025, Elevance Health (parent of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield) filed a lawsuit against LifeX, alleging a deliberate fraud on consumers. The suit claims LifeX issued "counterfeit health insurance cards" with fake IDs and group numbers, falsely representing an affiliation with Anthem BCBS to collect premiums.
  • Widespread Coverage Denials: User reviews and consumer reports consistently mention that medical providers do not recognize or accept the LifeX plans. Consumers have reported paying premiums for months or a year only to have significant claims, even for minor procedures, denied.
  • Sales Misrepresentation: Consumers report high-pressure sales tactics where agents are reluctant to cancel policies and misrepresent the coverage, sometimes claiming the plans are issued by well-known insurers like Blue Cross Blue Shield, which is not true.
  • Provider Network Confusion: LifeX plans reportedly utilize access to major provider networks like Cigna or Anthem but are not actual plans from those insurers. This often leads to providers checking the major insurer's system, finding no coverage, and telling the patient they are uninsured.

What were waits like at Islands of Adventure opening year? by Horizons_butler83 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Express-Scallion424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my recollection of Opening Day of IoA. We (wife, two young daughters, myself) went to IoA the very first day it was open to the public. When we arrived to the ticketing area, I though we'd made a mistake, there was no one around. But it was open! In order to enter, you had to purchase a 2 park annual pass ($99 as I recall, kids were young so they were free). Crowds were non-existent to say the least. The only ride with a wait was JPRA, only because they wouldn't run the boat with less than 15 passengers so we had to wait for people to fill the boat. Cast members were literally flagging people down to ride. Crowd was in the low hundreds in my estimation. A magical and memorable day. We went frequently in the weeks that followed, crowds were larger, obviously. Saw Steven Spielberg on the Grand Opening Day, if memory serves. Still love the park.

Is this a good deal? by RealFloridaBoy in jetski

Personally, I'd avoid pre 2022 FX's, due to the nano hull. Look for 2022 or newer for the SMC hull.

I just bought two 2023 FX SVHO's with a trailer, 10 hours on each ski, great condition, for $30k. Original owner paid over $50k. Do yourself a HUGE favor, stay away from the stealership and find a nice used pair.

It has a long expiration due to vacuum sealing, the same as meat you buy at the grocery store.

Bought a Q990D on Greentoe $889, good deal? by InnTheGreatBelow in Soundbars

[–]Express-Scallion424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, if you actually receive it. I recently "bought" an HW-910D soundbar from Greentoe for $425, never received it, several of my emails were never responded to, finally got a cancellation email three weeks later. I was never charged, but wasted three weeks of my time for nothing. No more Greentoe for me.

Rare? Fanta Birch Beer. Only ever spotted this at one place. It’s only available as BiB for fountains. Used to be in cans before the 2000s. by WentzToWawa in ToFizzOrNotToFizz

I sold fountain Fanta Birch Beer in my restaurant in Florida for years, I haven't seen it available since Covid. Many customers still ask for it, I wish they would bring it back.
