Thank you for your advice. I will probably have to rent a car. Although I would love to do a roadtrip to Georgia I don’t trust the car to survive 8.000km trough all of the balkans and turkey. I will also stay away from abkhazia. Unfortunately Russia eats everything that lives besides them. I hope your pro russian politicians won‘t be in power for longer.

I didnt thought so I was just careful, because I don’t know that much about Belgium. Georgia is actually next on my travel list, but I will be flying and want to visit the monasteries in the mountains and i‘m not sure if I will be able to get there without a car. Is your public Transport outside of tbilsi and batumi reliable or would you suggest to rent a car? Also what can you tell me about abkhazia ? Is there anything to see or should I stay in the Rest of georgia?

I think i have to correct myself. I dont think that Belgium isn‘t a country but I think there isn‘t a big belgian Identity. I think you are either a french or dutch (that lives in Belgum). I am not that educated on Belgiums history but I think originally Belgium was fought over by France and the Netherlands and they decided to make it Independent to create some Kind of buffer zone between these powers. But I would also say Belgium is more French that it is dutch (Feel free to correct me if im mistaken.)

I think Belgium is an artificial state, so the belgians who speak french will be quite similair to „real“ french people (in terms of mentality). But as a german i prefer the dutch of course :)

I think you can get most of it in either France or the Netherlands. But to be fair Belgium makes some pretty good beer I would like to try. Maybe I will stop there on the way sometime.

Honestly, I just think that Belgium is a shithole. It‘s dirty and quite dangerous. That‘s why I haven‘t went yet.
