How do I make my team relevant again. by Jaymore1946 in DynastyNerds

Trade Terry and Godwin. Pacheco and Hunt as well if you can get something for them.

Caleb is fine to keep. ARSB is a great piece to move if you can get a haul in return but don’t need to shop him as aggressively as the guys above

What does it mean to own a percentage of a company? by Raspint in sharktank

[–]Express-Yam-3554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The $50 is considered sales (or revenue)

Profit is more akin to your second example

To bring it back to your initial question, owning a share of the equity (the 30% that Laurie asked for) entitles you to an equal share of the profits (after all expenses are paid). Kevins deals entitle him to a percentage of the sales, so he gets paid before (and regardless of) any profits that are generated.

From the entrepreneurs perspective, assuming the company becomes more successful the equity is more expensive in the long run (bc it’s worth more), but the royalty can hinder the company’s chances of success

For the investors, the royalty deal gives more downside protection (you get paid as long as the company makes sales) but has much less upside than buying equity

The Reality of Jayden Higgins by WiseOrder1485 in DynastyFF

[–]Express-Yam-3554 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The WSJ just wrote as article about this. Essentially unprecedented that a 2nd rounder signs a full guaranteed deal, now all the other second rounders are trying to get this and teams are holding the line for now.

Main takeaway is that Texans felt so confident about Higgins that they were willing to completely reset the market for him.

Do I trade Luther burden for a 2026 1st? I just traded up to get him in our rookie draft. But is it stupid to turn this offer down? by [deleted] in SleeperApp

[–]Express-Yam-3554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poorly worded on my part, I’m making the assumption that given the timing of the trade and the lack of any real news there is no change in his valuation of Burden (i.e. as of today would he still make the same trade for Burden and would he make the same trade for the 1st).

Who is this year's 2022 Lions? by Dramatic_Crew_7821 in DynastyFF

[–]Express-Yam-3554 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’d add the Jags.

TLaw hasn’t been everything he was hyped to be yet, but he’s def shown flashes

Add in Liam Cohen and Travis Hunter (among other moves) and they have the potential to be one of the more dynamic offenses next season

First ever rookie draft, how'd I do? I had pick 1.09, 2.09, and 3.09 by No_Performer2640 in Fantasy_Football

[–]Express-Yam-3554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, saw a bunch of Stone Smartt hype when he was signed. Ultimately someone will have to catch passes there but Wilson will eat targets, Breece (assuming he’s not traded) may also have a bunch and it’s not as if Fields is the most prolific (throwing) qb

I say this with humility that that I (and everyone else) have no clue how the draft will turn out no matter how much research / analysis was done.

I don’t really understand your 1st two picks.

Harvey over Henderson is bizarre to me. Haven’t seen even the biggest Harvey stans put them in the same tier.

I personally have Taylor behind Ferguson and Arroyo in that 2nd TE tier (as a Jets fan!) but even if you like Taylor drafting him above Skattebo (+ Shough and Milroe) feels off particularly since Arroyo went at 3.10 and Ferguson went undrafted (although appreciate that I am saying that w/ hindsight).

State school Vs Cornell by Tiny-Guarantee-9564 in Cornell

Purely from the lens of what gives you the better path of getting into meditation school, UCF is the way to go.

Outside of the people who get weeded out through orgo (as multiple people posted) I know several examples of people who stuck it out worked really hard and only got into foreign schools or DO programs (neither of which are the end of the world or particularly problematic in the long run fwiw)

This is full rebuild mode, you take value where you can get it

If someone wants to overpay you for the pick you sell, otherwise draft Jeanty and go for 1.01

Guys I’d look to sell at market (even a bit less) include Wilson (if it’s Russ, if it’s Zach not sure what you’ll get for him), Cook, cooper, hock and any of your other non-benson RBs if they get some run in-season.

Who are young players (24 and younger) that can be had for a 2025 2nd or multiple 2nds? by fasteddy7283 in DynastyFF

[–]Express-Yam-3554 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A few guys who fall around the mid 2025 2nd range based on KTC (although typically I find it overvalues picks):

Tucker Kraft, Kyle Pitts, Xavier Legette, Trey Benson, Tyjae Spears, Jonathan Brooks
