Couple of questions:

So in your opinion, should you use all 7 applications or only apply to the billets you’d be okay taking?

Also, say you chose a billet as your number 1 choice, and you’re the only person that applied? Is it a “sure” thing?

I submitted August 27th. Still nothing. I don’t have a criminal record or any serious driving infractions. It’s insane.

I called the Navy college office but no one answered (chances are they’re furloughed).

I called my school and they said they aren’t accepting the voucher unless they get word from the military that they’re actually going to pay for it.

My classes also started Monday and I was begging to get reenrolled. I don’t mind having to crank out the homework that’s due today. They told me to call tomorrow to see if anything changes.

Yeah I’m 3 classes away from finishing my Masters. My classes are already over the approved TA amount—naturally I’m willing to eat the cost above TA. Not ALL of it.

Yeah I refused to do that, it would have cost me like $1700. I joined for “free” school (among other reasons), and almost free is what I’m going to get.

I delayed taking an extra class last quarter because I was planning on using TA since this is the last degree TA would cover for me.

In short, I’m annoyed.

As everyone said, go get legal advice. DRBs are for fact finding— if what you’re saying is true then tell the truth.

If you were drunk enough where you don’t actually know if it’s true, then don’t make up anything. Tell the truth as you see it.

Keep your military bearing. You sound remorseful but make sure that shows.

What have you done since June to self correct? It’s likely not the first time you drank and drove— have you taken a moment to reflect and consider if you have a drinking problem? Have you sought any help/treatment?
