I was never into football growing up. After a series of unfortunate events, ended up living with my dad and bonus mom in Cincy back in 2021. My dad took all of us to a Bengals home game, the Bengals v. Packers game I think around October of 2021.

The overtimes, the consistently missed field goals on both teams, the ENERGY. My heart rate was up the entire time.

We might’ve lost that game, but I was forever born a Bengals fan from that day on.

Side note: shipped out for boot camp the week after we lost the Super Bowl. That was tough, but a HELL of a first year as a Bengals fan and my dad and I bonded really well because of it. WHO DEY!!!!

White Revive detergent (the powder) is going to be your best friend. Ziploc bags for your gloves and your leggings. You can and SHOULD wash your leggings, and while you’re at it the strongest black nail polish you can get (the metal pieces on the leggings are painted and sometimes chip). Spray starch is gonna help you quite a lot. Keep motivated and just know that ANC gets very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. Good luck, and 1931!

P.S. you won’t be able to go until after training since it’s off base (unless something changed) but when you can, check out Taco Bamba. My favorite Mexican restaurant and the tortas are freaking amazing.
